jimnew106 Posted 8 January, 2011 Share Posted 8 January, 2011 Does anyone know what the expected attendance for todays game is? I thought I had read somewhere this week that is was going to be virtually a sell out, but have seen nothing since.
farawaysaint Posted 8 January, 2011 Share Posted 8 January, 2011 A Sell out for Blackpool fielding a weakened side? This seems optimistic
Toomer Posted 8 January, 2011 Share Posted 8 January, 2011 About 20-21k I would have thought.
dune Posted 8 January, 2011 Share Posted 8 January, 2011 Blackpool won't bring many.
ericofarabia Posted 8 January, 2011 Share Posted 8 January, 2011 Aren't the corners still closed? The bits open could well be shoe horned in though, if the corners are still closed and Blackpool don't fill their sections.
Saint-scooby Posted 8 January, 2011 Share Posted 8 January, 2011 Northam/Kingsland is closed hopefully it will open later today. Blackpool will bring 800 + So I guess no more than 22 K

MarkSFC Posted 8 January, 2011 Share Posted 8 January, 2011 When I got my tickets on Tuesday the ticket office reckoned they had sold only about 16/17K! I hope there's been a rush in the last few days!
benjii Posted 8 January, 2011 Share Posted 8 January, 2011 They've sold over 19k.
alehouseboys Posted 8 January, 2011 Share Posted 8 January, 2011 They've sold over 19k. 'Trousers' mentioned this in the Blackpool build up thread yesterday morning, officialsaints twitter, over 19k and selling well. With yesterday afternoon, this morning and a walk-up, probably 21-22k. IFHP Posted 8 January, 2011 Share Posted 8 January, 2011 Funny how a premier team, even Blackpool, gets a bigger crowed than the last 2 rounds. And its a fiver more as well.
RonManager Posted 8 January, 2011 Share Posted 8 January, 2011 Bought a ticket but now can't make it unfortunately. Do they base the attendance on tickets sold or turnstile counters?

um pahars Posted 8 January, 2011 Share Posted 8 January, 2011 21464 My 21,232 was not a bad guess, although mine didn't include the 232 stewards that the Official Attendance includes!!!!!

Matthew Le God Posted 8 January, 2011 Share Posted 8 January, 2011 (edited) Blackburn vs QPR 10k Bolton vs York 13k Bristol City vs Sheff Weds 11k Burnley vs Port Vale 9k Coventry vs Crystal Palace 8k Fulham vs Peterborough 15k Hull vs Wigan 10k Reading vs West Brom 13k Sheff Utd vs Aston Villa 16k Stoke vs Cardiff 18k Sunderland vs Notts County 17k and... Southampton XI (8 changes from last league game) vs Blackpool Reserves (9 changes from last league game) = 21,464 Only West Ham and Arsenal had higher so far in the FA Cup 3rd round. Which considering Saints have a League One team and we all knew Holloway was bringing the kids and reserves from Blackpool just shows the fanbase size of this club compared to others. I can't find my glasses, but I think there could be another contender in that list. Surely the clash of the South Coast Titans up East must have drawn a massive crowd today? anothersaintinsouthsea Posted 9 January, 2011 Share Posted 9 January, 2011 Our crowds in the past few years both in the league and the cup show that we have a bigger fanbase than we get credit for.
