St Marco Posted 28 October, 2008 Share Posted 28 October, 2008 Was reading Jans comments today on the Daily Echo site when one poster said that Lowe was standing on the touchline with Jan at the match. Now i was at the game and i have to be honest i did not see that. But it says they had a picture of it in yesterday's Echo? Is that true or ********? If it is true then does anyone have the pic? Again if that is true i think that is very bad and unfair on Jan totally.

Gordon Mockles Posted 28 October, 2008 Share Posted 28 October, 2008 That concerned me a lot. He was pitch-side during the Sky game (I swear to p*ss off the fans on tele but that’s my cynical nature! LOL), away to Coventry. Did others see it? Quite irritating - how he grinned, with his pass swinging around his neck. He daren’t do that at St Mary’s. There would be riots! LOL It backs up my previous suggestions that he's back to annoy. Doing a good job! One of the few things he succeeds at! LOL

Saint Mikey Posted 28 October, 2008 Share Posted 28 October, 2008 I'd rather see if he's any good at right back. LOL. Seriously though, can't people use their intelligence here? Whoever thinks Lowe will be on the sidelines barking orders out to the players needs their heads read. Some people are so 'Lowe obsessed' they're losing touch with reality. What's the next story? We'll probably hear about how Lowe burst into the changing room at half-time, kicked a boot in anger, clocking David McGoldrick in the eye....Now that would be a scoop. How many chairman have you seen standing on the touchline with the manager? I have seen zero. So if he was there and was actually caught on camera there the question is why? So this whole "losing touch with reality" thing doesn't make sense because it is not normal that a chairman has anything to do with the footballing side, unless he is there to say "your sacked my son". Not sure what to make of it. It had to be before the game during the warm ups. Which still begs the question if we are momments away from playing a game why is he on the line talking with Jan? Should Jan not be getting last minute instructions/talks to the players? Maybe im being too critical.

The pic is back page of echo and 1) it is definately two pics put together -if you look at JPs shoulder it is totally different type of pic to Lowe. 2) The echo's wording doesn't actually say them together it could just as easily be talking about two pics 3) does show or say if was in dug out

Really its a bit irrelevant as to the game, we were crap Lowe on the touchline or not. The bigger deal here has to be team selection (rightly or wrongly done by Lowe or JP) and the crap were playing at the moment!
Gordon Mockles Posted 28 October, 2008 Share Posted 28 October, 2008 The photo did look a bit suspect but surely someone saw the game and can confirm?! Some photos do look a bit odd though, when they are genuine (all to do with light). In fairness, who cares. We know Lowe messes around with football affairs more than he should and nothing we can do will change that...or can we?! Not shocked to see Nick rushing to defend things. You clearly are not - can you guess where I live? They don't have the Echo here. Saw both the photos online though and they looked good to me. Have you ever used photoshop? I suppose I must be obsessed because I actually know what I'm talking about? Now saying the pictures are obviously faked, but he may have been there actually, and oh they never said it was in the dugout [ what's that got to do with anything] - that really does sound desperate. paris Posted 29 October, 2008 Share Posted 29 October, 2008 Looks like we're not the only one's to have a Director interfering.. HANDS-ON Flavio Briatore helped knock Birmingham off top spot in the Championship. The flamboyant QPR owner shouted instructions from the directors’ box down to caretaker-boss Gareth Ainsworth as 10-man Rangers stunned Brum. And it was Briatore’s signing Samuel Di Carmine who hit a superb winner on 54 minutes. Briatore sacked Iain Dowie last week because the manager would not accept interference from the Italian in team selection. Yet Ainsworth seems quite happy to pick the side by committee. Di Carmine, who is on loan from Fiorentina, was restored to the line-up for Saturday’s impressive 0-0 draw at Reading — replacing R’s top-scorer Dexter Blackstock. And his 25-yard thunderbolt to seal the three points last night suggested Renault bigwig Briatore knows his football as well as his Formula One. Yet Ainsworth insisted he is still the man in control. He said: “Flavio puts his case for players forward and I put mine forward and I am happy to be in those meetings.
