Unbelievable really.
CB Fry Posted 26 December, 2008 Share Posted 26 December, 2008 Did this hankie thing actually happen? I vividly remember the Newcastle game and waving the red card and can remember bundling and protesting in the car park after that game (or was that a different game?). Saint_John Posted 27 December, 2008 Share Posted 27 December, 2008 If you read ITN pages 230 -231, IMO the protests inside and outside the ground got nowhere:- 31 August - "unrest on the terraces...." 4 Oct - Redstripe - "three more years of B*******...." 24 Oct - banner at Sky game "Askham and B******* must go..." (After the game Askham still pledges support to B). The turning point was the Ipswich game on the 8th Dec when only 9028 turned up followed by another low gate a few days later against qpr. The result was that Lawrie was back within days and B was soon history.

When Lowe's youth policy can match the talent Lawrie, Chris and Dave Merrington nurtered, brought on and produced then perhaps he can start blowing his own trumpet. Lawrie ect produced the talent to play in the first team and benefit the club, Lowe does it to sell at a profit.

Lawrie ect produced the talent to play in the first team and benefit the club, Lowe does it to sell at a profit. it is not about that..and lowe does not say he unearthed theo etc.. it IS a fact that the youth set-up that lawrie started etc (or should we really be crediting someone else there) was effictively shut down not long before lowe came in...it was re-opened by lowes set up and we all know he put alot of money into it.... name me ONE youth set up that does not sell players at a profit....? Kadeem Hardison Posted 28 December, 2008 Share Posted 28 December, 2008 The Kadeem Hardison Hunger Strike Day 3, 27th December 2008 "Our last and strongest weapon is the body; collectively, we have brought ours into the fight..." Manfred Grashof, Red Army Faction, February 1973. Had a my 'last supper' yesterday morning. Can't really face any major challenge without a decent fry-up first, least of all a hunger strike. Swallowed some toothpaste this morning but don't think that counts. I'm pretty sure that all medication is ok, so ate a tube of Bonjela around lunchtime. Had a bit of a tummyache later on. Need someone to clarify whether the following are off limits (I think that they may be ok): Tic-Tacs Celery Sherbert Gravy Not sure whether word of my protest has reached the powers that be yet. Kadeem Hardison Posted 1 January, 2009 Share Posted 1 January, 2009 The Kadeem Hardison Hunger Strike Day 8, 1st January 2009 "A man who keeps telling himself that he is being slowly killed by the deprivation of sensory stimulus and human communication actually will die of it - perhaps by his own hand." Horst Mahler, Red Army Faction, August 1974. Quite hungry now. Had a Slimfast vanilla shake yesterday (these definitely do not contravene the hunger strike. Only thick milkshakes (ones from McDonald's/BK/etc) are off limits). If something has no nutritional value, does that mean I can have it? I'm thinking of Pot Noodles and Yakult. I am pretty weak so if someone can do some research for me that would be ace. Thanks for your support. I will not deviate from this path of self-criticism until the people in charge of Southampton Football Club are replaced by some other people. Have lost 10lbs. Haven't had a poo in 4 days though. Keep up the fight. Lowe Out.

Must have been a different club that sold Channon, Williams, Shearer, Wallace, Wallace, Wallace, Kenna, Flowers, Hall. Must have been a different club that agreed to sell Le Tissier at least twice before Lowe turned up. And I can remember the first thing Ian Branfoot said when he came back to the club as manager (and I'm not here to defend that t wa t) was that our youth development programme was a shambles. Oh, and Wayne "sold for a profit" Bridge played more game for Saints than Alan "bred for the club's benefit" Shearer and Rod "leaving this club over my dead body" Wallace ever did. Enough ill informed toss please.
