Can you see us keeping a clean sheet? Can you see us out-scoring united? Im not so sure! I will always be a little optimistic because i love the Saints, but instead of wasting money on betting i will just spend it on drink to numb the pain!

We were not such big outsiders in 76' when we had the likes of Osgood, Channon and a couple of ex internationals in the side! Also Man Utd were not as good as their second side is now?

I hope Lordswood we get that cup magic/luck but somehow I think the floodlights going off at 0-8 might be all we get!

Don't think there will be much magic about it really - more likely depression.

If I was really sad I would confess to evey year on 3rd round day predict we would win the Cup. OK so in 76 we did, but forecasting has never been a strong point.

This season more than any other I would love to dream again - but I truly believe we will get absolutely trounced on Sunday. I will be men against boys literally. United will sit back and let us play some attractive football, and every neutral wanting United to lose will think we are in with a chance. Fergusson will wink and nod and it will all be over. I think they will take pity and stop at 2-0 - but it will be obvious to all and sundry we are not going to make an impression.

With relegation more likely than a trip to Wembley for the play offs let alone win 6 games in a competition on the trot and qualify for the final of the FA Cup, dreaming is the only option.

At times like this it is I am grateful for the memories - RIP Lowe FC.

I'm not going to the game. I feel bad, but If I put my £30 into this game I might skip another later on because of the way finances are and that.

So I thought, let someone else go and spend £30 - and that's a genuine £30 extra the club wouldn't have.

And I'll take two tickets against Donny instead.

Hope you see a win and all, but would rather we got a draw, replay, cash and then we beat Donny at home and I finally see my third win of the season!!!!!!!

Could you see Burnley keeping a clean sheet or outscoring Arsenal?

Could you see Barnsley doing the same against Chelsea and Liverpool?

No, me neither. And unsurprisingly, neither did the Burnley or Barnsley fans.

Oh to dream....

But in reality, it's another televised game and we ALL know what happens with them.

Perhaps the worrying thing this time is that instead of us lot down here sitting quietly in our little corner of sorrow with our small screen, un-noticed by the masses in the pub, this time we'll be on the big screen with commentary and surrounded by Mancs and will get all the jibes as well.

It's a lousy job, but I guess we're all going to do it.

I am up for it, we will not have to face a 6ft centre forward and as we showed against Reading we play better against footballing sides.

Need to keep it tight early on and then just go for it.

Just hope JP AND RL have no daft ideas about resting players.

Head in the clouds but Saints to win 2-1

Who the f*ck are Man United

Who the ***** are Man United

And the Saints go Marchin ON oN oN

No, me neither. And unsurprisingly, neither did the Burnley or Barnsley fans.

Both of those teams had a mixture of promising youngsters and experienced players. They also had strikers who can score goals such as Patterson, Eagles, Howard etc

Im sure Sir Alex will play his kids but have the likes of Tevez, Rooney etc on the bench ready to come on a repair any embarassing moments

Manure will select a team something like the Carling Cup games this season.

Foster

Rafael, Evans, Ferdinand, O'Shea

Scholes, Possebon

Park, Ronaldo

Giggs

Tevez

subs

Kuzscak

Neville

Anderson

Nani

Fletcher

I just hope it's better than our last FA cup game. The journey home from Bristol was horrendous.

That team above looks about right, I think Ronaldo will start he's desperate for a goal to kickstart his season. I'd love it if he had another shocker, ends up getting wound up and hits out at one of our players.

I'm really starting to look forward to the game now which is odd for a st marys match.

Hang on, I'll just see if I can find any magic in the FA Cup for Saints this season....

I'm just squinting my eyes...

Let's get out the microscope...

OK, perhaps the binoculars...

Err nope, can't see any magic.

Unless someone finds some peculiar magic and gets this team to start winning in the League [couldn't give a toss about the FA Cup, at present] then it's just a bad time for SFC, full stop. Man United..? I'd rather we played Bournemouth. At least we just might remember how to win, and get a good crowd/atmosphere.

Good point, i reckon that could be the problem...forgetting how to win?

And Olofinjana who scored the winner against Chelsea, he would be jealous of DMG's scoring rate!

I think you mean Kayode Odejayi. Whose record is 1 goal in 23 appearances in all comps this season. He has been used mainly as a sub this year it would appear.

Seyi Olofinjana is a midfielder who last year was with Wolves and was bought by Stoke in the summer.

Odejayi of course, absolute legend of a striker.

Am I the only one seriously looking forward to Sunday then?

I think we'll see a big performance from the team and that's all I care about. Anything like a result would give me a huge amount of pride and I'm seriously looking forward to seeing St. Mary's full again and rocking with noise :]

I am watching it with a mate who is a Man Utd fan. Brought up in Bristol his second side is Rovers. I might have to give him a slap at the end of the game. United to cruise into a 3-0 lead within 15 minutes and then declare by resting a few key players and passing the ball around amongst themselves for the rest of the game. Boring, but I fear sadly accurate.
