Some of my earliest memories are seeing him on Sunday Night at the London Palladium on a tiny black and white tv in the '50s. Everybody going round in a circle on that big carousel at the end waving. I can still see it now.

Personally, i couldnt stand watching him. Thats just a personal preference though. He was absolutely outstanding, and the king of his field for decades. Amazing energy.
