A hell of a lot less than if we had a president.

At least we would get to choose a President.

That's a frightening thought.

Instead we have an hereditary inbred monarch, "chosen and anointed by God".

We can chose our PMs.

We've not excelled ourselves in that department. Not sure we'd fair much better with a President. President Farage anyone

Given the local election results, there are probably plenty who would go for that.

And who doesn't give us an additional and confusing political layer, causes no harm to us, and gives a boost to tourism. Give me a monarch over a president every day of the week.

"Southampton were relegated as early as Gameweek 31"

FFS! When did this crap come in? Gameweek? FK off!

What would be your preferred phraseology for the 31st round of games being played?

Doesn't really annoy me as much as it mildly amuses me, but I keep seeing an advert for Walkers crisps with 2 pairs of footballers 'surprising' punters in 2 different pubs.

Pub 1: Messi and Suarez - everyone turns around and is amazed/cannot believe it.

Pub 2: Lauren James and Leah Williams (I think). Punters appear to have exactly the same reaction as those in Pub 1.

Would expect pub 2 to be much more excited in reality.

Agreed. With Suarez, he's likely to use his usual "I was aiming for the crisps" as he takes a bite out of you.

Clingfilm.

I battled with supermarket own brand cling film for decades but I recently treated myself to a roll of Bacofoil clingfilm and it's the dogs bollocks. The cutting strip actually works and you don't have to spend 27 minutes each time trying to find the end of the roll and tearing it in the wrong places. You're welcome.

Cheap clingfilms only seem to stick to themselves and nothing else.

Indeed. Defo a false economy buying cheaper cling film.

Hey buddy! You’re like so out of touch with the English premier soccerball league! this has been a fricking awesome series 24/25 of soccerball. Too sad the Southampton Saints were demoted to the National championship but at least they get to play other great British sides not in the Premier league like Glasgow Celtic hoops and Amsterdams Ajaxes. Your sport of Soccerball is awesome, I cannot wait for game week one in the British championship league. Let’s go Southampton Saints repromotion is ours!!

"GenZee", "Gen X", "Gen Alpha", "Millennials" etc.

Why can't we just refer to 'people in their teens/20s/30s' any more?

Indeed, its a load of old bollocks. Probably the same twats that say 'season' instead of 'series'.

Please don't.  It's far too close to the truth.

Yep.

"Genuinely" v "Generally" at least as bad. Not even close in meaning. Peasants.

People who don’t put ketchup on the side of the plate. It’s not salt!

Unless you’re a child there’s only a very limited number of foods that it’s acceptable to have ketchup with. Burger, fries, fish finger sandwich, that’s about it (and the FF sandwich has to have tartare sauce as well).

You sound like my missus. Steak, fish and chips. Tartare sauce is of the devil

Sausage sandwich - brown sauce

Bacon Sandwich - ketchup

Full English - neither

Steak - mustard

Yep, I don't understand why either.

Brown sauce for sausage sandwich.

Ketchup for bacon sandwich.

Salt and vinegar for fish and chips.

Proper tea with the above

These are the foundations upon which civilisation is built!

Fuck me. Red sauce on a bacon sandwich is absolute sacrilege. Brown sauce fine, in fact to be encouraged. But get the ketchup away ffs.

Palates of 8 year olds ffs.
