Definitely seems like we're targeting the Irish market a bit more. Signed Joe O'Brien Whitmarsh from Cork City last month and now this link.

We were also linked with signing Jack Hastings from Larne who play in the Northern Irish Premier League.

Sport Republic were also interested in buying Shelbourne a while back

I would imagine it doesn't hurt that we've stuck with a generational Irish youth talent in Bazunu (who's their national keeper). Shea Charles is also getting regular minutes and although from Northern Ireland I'm sure that gets noticed too.

It feels like there has been a wholesale shift of thinking on our recruitment. Not sure whether it is based on work permits, funds available, or just cultural thinking, but everyone we've brought in recently has been from the British Isles and is prepared to put a shift in. Has made us a right pain in the arse to play against, and the squad seem united and fired up. COYS

Something in the way he carries himself suggests to me we may have uncovered a gem here. Great control and finish today. C’mon.

Agreed. Doesn't seem remotely phased, great athleticism and composure, and a pretty decent control and finishing. Great option to have in the squad - for no outlay this window as well.

We signed him for €500,000. Some of that money will be due this window. Seemingly a bargain at that price!

Let’s not get carried away, congratulations to the young man but it was against a mid table league two team. A big difference to competing at the top end of the championship

It was the confidence he had at the beginning. He confidently pointed and showed exactly where he wanted the ball.

No nerves visible at all.

He'll deserve a bench spot this month and will get quite a few minutes.

Indeed but using that argument it doesn’t give much of a ringing endorsement to BBD 🤣

Oh, I very much agree. But by the same logic BBD couldn’t control a football ️ nor Fellows keep his head over the ball against a mid-table L2 outfit.

Akachukwu-wu he fucking hates Pompey

It must be tough enough growing up in Ireland without ginger hair, without us reminding him five times a game that we think he grew up somewhere tropical

This guy is going to be the bollocks and I'd rather he had a song that matched the talent

(although I agree that those two lines together would be fun to sing if he was a ginger)
