Lee On Solent Saint Posted yesterday at 13:12 Posted yesterday at 13:12 Wood would be better off directing his anger to his teamates, especially THB who disappeared quicker down the tunnel than Jason Puncheon wanting a shit. 1 6

EBS1980 Posted yesterday at 15:01 Posted yesterday at 15:01 Surprised no apology has been issued by him.
SouSaint Posted yesterday at 16:13 Posted yesterday at 16:13 Didn't really get the hype with him a few weeks back, he was performing as the best of a very bad bunch. The reality is he's exactly the sort of CB you expect a bottom half Championship side to have in their lineup. Even Swansea fans don't rate him, its mental that we signed him and Edwards as a PL club. 2
Osvaldorama Posted yesterday at 16:23 Posted yesterday at 16:23 (edited) Yeah he’s awful anyway. Sack the prick off. I don’t think it’s an overreaction to bin him. The fans have already had to endure so much. I already have to stomach losing every week, Nivea on the touch line, selling all our best players. You can’t ask me to also accept a player that swears at the fans. No way. Edited yesterday at 16:29 by Osvaldorama 3
Lord Duckhunter Posted yesterday at 16:35 Posted yesterday at 16:35 I think people are being a bit harsh on him. He’s got potential, but we’re asking him to pass the ball into midfield & get on the ball regularly. If we got him to defend, head and kick it away, there’s something there (apart from the one horrendous miss kick). I’d bet my life a proper manager would get more out of him. Same with Edwards, I’m not saying they’re great, but we’re not giving them the best chance to shine. 2

Crowds Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Nathan wood, we once had Van djik, Alderweireld, Fonte and now you. You are a championship player at best, enjoy your time at a half decent club and you’ll be a millwall player in no time. 1
S-Clarke Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Hollow words. I think he's shit personally, the fact he's been our best defender says nothing - as we're 21st. 2

OldNick Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago We dont know what was said to him but he should hae keep his cool, he motioned at the Northam as well. I didnt think it was right to sing 'not fit to wear the shirt' as in the last few years few have been worth it.
Sheaf Saint Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Young lad in an intense, toxic situation loses his cool and then comes out publicly and apologises for it. But no, apparently that's not enough for some people. What would you prefer? Some sort of blood sacrifice? For him to be marched naked through the Bargate and then tarred and feathered perhaps? 2

Followed by the 2nd-worst performance in the PL by any side and a 2nd relegation in 3 seasons. Followed by a 2nd season in the Championship, in which after almost a third of the season we are in 21st place. Perhaps, you could recall other stats such as, 7 managers in 3 and a 1/3 seasons, 4 wins in 50+ matches and possessing a league position below Bournemouth, Brighton, Portsmouth and Oxford United. Yes, they fully deserve our trust. 1 1

Correct we had the usual never play for the club again hysteria from some he’s made a mistake he’s apologised there are far more things wrong at saints than Nathan Wood 3

Pamplemousse Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Not fussed about an apology, better performances would be my preference.

If he wants to give a bit back, that's fine by me as long as it's not to kids. 2

Which is why I posted this in response Got it? That original post doesn’t mention SR anywhere.

He also reacted when the fans were snging to the team 'youre not fit to wear the shirt' He rightly took offence and good on him 1
