There’s also reports that they’re going to strip him of his Egyptian citizenship, which means Starmer won’t be able to do the same.

It’s a mess, like most things started by the Tories, and continued under these clowns. It also sums up what a complete and utter fuckwits Starmer surrounds himself with. You think one of them would have checked this blokes history before announcing how pleased he was & how his release was a priority of his Government. Their rush to show their virtue overrides everything . They really are completely and utterly clueless.

The PM knew nothing about it until today.

The shit that you lot get worked up about. Oh no sorry someone is making you get worked up, my mistake.

They're bothered about this, yet not bothered about Reform leaders, MPs and Councillors being racist.

Starmer is a pretty poor leader, but he's being caught out on a lot of very unimportant matters.

This is symptomatic of what is going on, regardless of which side of the channel the power fault has happened on. It seemingly started with T5 debacle at Heathrow and gets worse. Doesn’t matter which sector it is, the level of competence and inability to problem-solve is infectious https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c93wkw37p0pt

Starmer should have foreseen this and come up with a contingency plan.

Imagine what it would have been like if Brexit hadn't happened and more people wanted to go to France!

Tongue in cheek response I know, and it wasn’t specific to Starmer but the country as a whole since the credit crunch. We just cannot seem to get major projects completed vaguely on time/on budget and/or maintain major infrastructure we already have (this being a case in point but there’s loads of overheads/points faults all the time all over the UK).

Must be all those anti-business policies - better than the S&Pas well.

I'm waiting to see the number of millionaires who have left this year...

It is good news, particuarly pleased with how my pension and ISA are doing, mostly self-funded of course unlike the public sector. Remember though that the FTSE is very much reflective of global markets which is why when you see a big drop elsewhere the FTSE will mirror it. Good news all the same, well done Rachel.

I know 3 young people who left last year. One went to Taiwan, another Dubai, and the other to Jersey. 2 went to try their luck, and with next to nothing behind them, and the other because they bought into a business and wanted the Jersey life. The latter will make it, and would have made it here but saw a market audience, whereas the first 2 will probably plod along and earn well ish as employees. I wouldn't be surprised if that's fairly typical of the youngsters leaving us behind.

Re, the FTSE, I'm not surprised, and the FTSE all share index is up 12.5% over the last 6 months - a very healthy sign. S&P, Dow Jones, CAC, DAX, all well below.

Some more good news, the number of hospital admissions for flu has peaked, it was not as bad as anticipated and less than previous years. Well done again Rachel.

In related news, expect to see mass cancellations of planned clinics as a result of the striking doctors. Portsmouth QE have been hit very hard having to cover them, and doubtless the same will apply to other hospitals. Sadly it's the patients who will suffer.

Sorry, I’m obviously being a bit dim but why is that a Rachel Reeves thing?

In slightly relevant news…..My folks have both had flu lately and it’s hit them harder than Covid ever did. From what I read a couple of months back, it’s a bit of a new variant that came about after the mass production of the winter supply of vaccine. I know my parents are older but to see them today when they’re both still recovering from it, it’s absolutely battered the pair of them.

He's being sarcastic. If it's bad economic/business news then it's because of Rachel, if it's good economic/business news it's despite Rachel.

Classic right winger.

Perhaps you can show me where you've done this then.

You know you have ... all you left leaning libtards do it. When Tories do it, = bad and don't care. When Starmer does it, he had no choice, did his sums, right thing blah blah blah. Both sides are pretty much the same. So blinkered and unable to see the truth that neither side gives a shit about the average person.

So the answer is no, you can't.

I'd use your 3 posts for something more meaningful than just making shit up, if I were you.

I see you're not trying to turn over any new leaves for New Year's. I would have thought not being an odious prick would be high on your list, but apparently not.

I still can't work out if you're a charicature or not, that's what's so weird about your character on here.

I imagine such a thick cunt like you doesn’t really know what the stock market is, let alone how it works.

They do, when there's an election due or a photo-op.

Unless, of course, it's someone like Putin, Xi, or Maduro, who know in advance that they have your "vote" regardless of how your politics align, or if you can even be bothered to go to a polling station.

Dopey ? Look in the mirror you moron.

I was agreeing with you. The "you" in my post was generic, addressed to the 'reader' rather than a response aimed at you.

If you get your thought processes out of your conspiracy fuelled arse you might find that people start treating you more reasonably.
