Kieffer moore obviously

No. But hopefully a better option as target man than we currently have.

I would love Stewart and Downs to be successful but I think it is too much of a risk to depend upon that.

Who do you suggest we buy that doesn’t come with risk ?

We’ll also play Archer as our 9

Im not prescribed to the school that says we need a target man, we don’t play long balls like Wrexham do

There simply aren’t a lot of other options certainly none less risky than what we have. On paper we have a historically potent front line at this level with Arma, Stewart and Archer. I believe with good service we will work it out.

Archer especially will score regularly with the right players around him IMO. He needs a run in the team.

Ikone, who we have been linked with (probably pre Fellows) is joining Paris FC.

We won't be able to tell until the new players settle in and we get to see how Still wants to play.

Exactly so why would we risk getting a new 9 in. I think a low risk loan might be an option to provide a different profile/solution but it’ll be 11th hour if at all.

Everyone is a risk, except for the players you've specifically thought of but the club have ignored. Those are dead certs.

I actually think Stewart is our best bet (I know I've said it before). I'm unconvinced by Archer, and if we're looking for crosses into the middle, AA and Archer are weaker options

I've also actually been impressed with Stewart's work with the ball when not in the box. Albeit in small cameos.

Looks to be a loan.

Derby fans are buzzing over this, for some reason. Worst player I've ever seen play for us, and we've had some shit.

More dead wood shifted thank god. BBD really has been an awful signing for us. Not sure what went wrong with him. Just didn't work in a Russball team?? (who did?) Was always crap?, lacked confidence? Totally flucked a couple of decent seasons previously? Who knows, i'm just glad he's gone for now.

Yes but they’re all shit.

Southampton has loaned Livakovic with a purchase option. The option is 5.5 m€. Fenerbahçe will cover 15% of the player's salary this season.

Have no idea if the posters is reliable for this or a total waster?

If he had a reliable track record, he'd have more than 7 followers.

There’s a lot of recency bias in that statement. He may not have been a PL player but I’d have BBD up front over Nicholas Bignall, Matt Patterson, Jamie White or Vincent Pericard, and that’s just in his position.

Not a a chance. Likely a weird made up post based on his FM game or something.

Livakovic is a Croatian international goalie, who is way above us.

I agree, Forest and Leeds have been showing interest in him

I think the positive spin on this would be IF he hits form for them he’s gonna take some points off rivals for us.

Wish we’d signed Carlton Morris though.

Probably generated by him bullying our defence for Wrexham. Admittedly that is a low bar.

I agree, Carlton Morris would have been a good option.

Think we’ve dodged a bullet if there was anything in this at all. And I doubt it.

Another one in the potential Deadwood2026# club.

Not in the same position. But I will raise you Maitland Niles

My point is that with Stewart's injury record, we should have brought somebody in earlier to be first choice with Stewart as 2nd choice.

His Croatian International mate at Zagreb, Orsic, was a bit crap at Prem level so if he's anything like him maybe the Championship is more his level.

But he IS fit mate, and we have Arma Downs and Cam on the books. We can't just horde strikers.

And again, someone like Morris, solid start to this season but he's hardly an upgrade on what we have?

That same Stoke keeper who chucked one in yesterday.

Any GK will make a mistake from time to time, Sprake threw the ball into his own net once, Shilton “could have done better” - to use the current phrase - v Poland in a WC qualifier (as he later admitted)  and at Saints there was Boruc and his attempted Cruyff turn v Arsenal

But when a GK is regularly MOM and in teams of the season etc I think supporters accept the occasional mistake. Not a GK who is regularly deemed to be at fault, and makes the occasional save.

Christ mention the name Orsic and perhaps give this bloke a wide berth.

I would love to see Stewart knocking them in after the terrible run of injuries he has had, but surely nobody can expect that after the unfortunate time he has had.

Stewart's stats since he joined us. So that is, 25 games in 3 seasons, 3 goals and 1 assist.

The reason we horde strikers is that we have bought a plethora of low-quality ones

Genuinely surprised by that 25 games, especially 12 EPL.

Going all statto on you, and putting this on the Carillo scale, most were probably 10 minute cameos as a substitute.

Pretty poor return though I agree.

Would like to see him come good after what he/we’ve been through but unlikely.

Your two suggestions in this thread have been Kieffer Moore and Carlton Morris, both pressumably influenced by their start to this season, come off it now.

We have proven quality strikers, better than either of those two. They need service and game time.

Scienza looks like it could be 'Here we go' shortly.

Edit: Checked in with a german mate and Kicker are pretty credible apparently. (I was skeptical on the source)
