Shocking appointment reading comments by fans of some of his former clubs.

Sports Republic going cheap again.

And malleable/grateful for work which is what a micro-managing, meddling and highly political manager looks for. Yes Rasmus, we do mean you.

Is he a gambler thinking it’ll turn to gold at some point?

Friend of mine ran a betting shop and saw mug punters like that every week, hiding from their partners after they’d spunked thousands on nags which came in last.

Yep, he will be on £150 a week more than when in Ghana with the International Dream Academy plus use of the Hyundai pool car. Enough to buy blind loyalty to project liquidation.

This is it, isn’t it. Since the beginning they’ve brought in personnel who have spent their careers thus far at a lower level or club. Originally it was thought that this was to think differently or break new ground or some bollocks, but now it’s clear that SR can’t deal with someone who’s actually worked on the same level or similar sized club because their ineptitude will be exposed and pushed back against. Gutless pathetic and egotistical owners who dress up with blue sky thinking.

Thank fuck for this. Everything will be ok now we’ve made this superb appointment; I was a little down after today’s result, but things are improving already after this masterstroke

A Rasmus master stroke is exactly what this is…

Who knows, personally never heard of him but we had a well known assistant with still.

Maybe just maybe their personalities will work together and quietly behind the scenes he will do the job needed but I certainly won't be losing it over another assistant.

Who Knows? Are you taking the piss, have you had your head up your arse since SR took over?  People like are contributing to bring this club down by accepting this absolute shit show. Shame on you........

Let’s be honest, did anyone expect we’d get anyone decent? Whoever was going to fill this role would have been supporting 32 year old with no experience who likely won’t be here past the end of this season. It’s hardly an enticing job is it?

Charlton-supporting mate texted me (unusually) when he heard. 'He's terrible'. Sports Republic really are appalling.

Hate this club right now. Can't do anything right. All signs point to Rasmus Twatterson

Like every other club in the history of football, in all other leagues, the manager appoints the staff - usually people he trusts and knows from previous roles. But as Tonda has never been a manager, he doesn't have that - so we're in a situation where the club is trying to match a coach to the manager, or should I say match a coach to the club philosophy.

It's even more bonkers when you look at it.

It’s truly remarkable. No other club in this league would appoint Tonda, and then think the right person to compliment him is this perpetual onion!

They have a history of doing this , appointing random coaches to work with managers rather than allowing the manager to have his own staff that’s he’s brought in. Selles to Ralph, Trollope to still, and now this. There have probably been many more too

Rickie Lambert seems to be a fan

Garner has a reputation for playing attacking, possession-based football and developing young players.

A number of figures throughout the game have spoken highly of Garner with former player Peter Ramage,[22] chairman Stephen Parish[3] and former England international Rickie Lambertamong those to have praised him.[23]

Only because Garner is highly suspicious of water!

If I were Garner, I wouldn't be bothering to look for anything more permanent than the hotel we've put him in...

Reminds me of the Cloughie story when he asked a new signing that kept giving the ball away if he’d bought a house locally yet.

”Don’t fucking bother son”.

The list is so extensive, that the legendary Peter Ramage has been name checked. High praise

‘‘Twas David Currie signed from Barnsley. But yes, I doubt if this guy will even start work.

Had never heard of Ben Garner before today.

But it looks like he's got a shaven head and a beard.  What the fuck are you expecting in the dugout for Christ sake ?

Tosser.

I can't stand what SR have done to my club but this was a comment about a new assistant who I think will have little impact either way as the problems are far far bigger.

As for SR I am not sure what us fans can do to get rid of them, I don't know any billionaires to tap up and that's what you need in this day and age.

I am and have been for years a season ticket holder and make my views known at games but again it's hard to know what we can do unless we get lucky and get new good owners who knows where we could end up.

I'd forgotten Selles being appointed to work with Ralph.

As much as I doubted the appointment of Still i was surprised he wasn't able to bring some back room staff with him (just as well perhaps). Adding Trollope did make some sense, but Lallana was just another absurd appointment.

I had expected Tonda to bring someone from Germany or Genoa he'd worked with before, but to lumber him with this dud with his track record of serial failure  is staggering

I’ll be more conciliatory than WS was, but we really need fans to voice their anger at what SR is doing to the club and the city, or as an alternative not attend.

Leaving SR unopposed is going to lead to a plummet down the divisions and possibly even out of the EFL. Worst case scenario if Rasmus has another crazy January no club.

I heard similar sentiments, ‘who will be manager if Branfoot isn’t’, ‘we will never oust Lowe’ but we did, with the help of Leon Crouch in the latter example with a bounced cheque.

We can win, and it’s better to see what’s out there. I think Dragan will want to leave with his head held high, clear the debt, so it’s Rasmus we need to target, and target hard.

No doubt he excelled in the interview.

Did they even bother looking at his track record?

Why do we have so many idiots running the club?

Yes to the above and clearly they didn’t look into this. Fortunately this board does the research SR and the club are too sloppy and lazy to do. Similar links for Swindon and Charlton. Rasmus likes failures and losers - Ben Garner is that in multiples.

That will be the interim after Garner gets a hiding at Pompey. Tonda could go this week, SR will see and hear the fermenting against them at scale.

Maybe Lallana was the brains behind the early good performances when Tonda was interim manager. The drop off the cliff coincided when he left the first team and became coach for the U21s. Just another conspriracy theory to put out there 🙂
