President Obama asked 'Are aliens real?' Obama's response 'They’re real'.

The interviewer then fails to ask follow up questions for clarification. On the face of it, that is confirmation from a president. But it perhaps could be he just thinks it is likely given the size of the universe that life and intelligent life occurred more than just on Earth.

as real as God

Aliens would occupy time and space in order to meet definition of existing. Does God?

How do aliens fit in with the Genesis story?

Aliens came to earth and took the form of men to smash a few human women. That’s what created giants. It’s all in Genesis.

Welcome to the flock brother Matthew 👏👏

God is everywhere, ( space ), all the time.

Why would aliens want to visit a small blue dot orbitting an insignificant star 27 thousand light years from the galactic centre, on a minor spiral arm of the galaxy ?

Have you heard Paul Merson and Tim Sherwood talk up the PL?

What source are you using as proof that Aliens occupy time and space?

I suspect you are merely speculating based on your limited knowledge of the universe.

Not sure why God gets mentioned on an Aliens thread. Odd.

Re, Aliens, it's incomprehensible that we're the only civilised life form in an infinite universe.

Ha!!

I couldn't imagine how it would be to find it necessary to have clear and tangible evidence of everything.

Yep. I had a friend (since passed) who moved to Oz. The most straightforward and honest guy you'd ever meet. He talked of being by the sea in Noosa and everyone stopped to look at a huge thing in the sky, silent and still, then watching it move away silently at an "other worldly" speed. He died skint and used all he had to commission a picture of what he saw for his daughter. Absolutely no reason to doubt what he said he saw.

Because if you believe in God (all of them or any of them), then you believe that God created the universe, i.e. everything, not just planet Earth.

You are certain something you have never seen (nor evidenced) does exists..

But God....nooooo

To make crop circles of course.

Yes, I know it's a long way to come just to create a bit of mischief but we do have the bestest wheat fields in the universe.

Err, ok. You're thinking of the book, and conflating concepts.

I've got a physicist mate who believes in the creationist theory, and no plenty of atheists/agnostics who believe in either creationist or big bang.

I'm not debating which one is right or wrong, merely pointing out that God has every right to be on a thread about Aliens when millions of people around the world believe that He created them.

Why need "certain" to believe in the likelihood of something probable?

Do you honestly believe that in the infinity of the universe that there's no other life?

Hmm. Conflating ideas for me.

It's Entirely possible to believe in God but not aliens, and vice versa, or both, or neither.

No idea. It is blind faith at this point....much like believing in God

That's your perspective. Seems close minded to me. Each to their own.

Given the size of the universe and number of galaxies the probability that life might evolve elsewhere approaches certainty. However, given the age of the universe and it's potential lifetime, these other civilisations might have been and gone before Man evolved, or may not appear until long after we are gone.

Indeed. Or, conversely, may have evolved as developed for thousands or millions of years, thus have technologies and scientific advances that we can't even contemplate - we went from the Wright Brothers to Space in 58 years. We only know what we know, and have.

So if these aliens do arrive on earth, and come to the UK, will the taxpayer be burdened with the cost of hotels for them ?

People can believe in creationism re the universe, and the scientific view after the initial creation, and believe in a God or not.

There's theories and beliefs beyond the book of Genesis. I don't get why people think it's a binary choice of that idea, or the wholly scientific one.

No but they’ll be quick to insist we change our own ways and how we should prepare mashed potatoes.

The universe isn't infinite, just very very very big

That's an alternative theory. Walls around the sides?

They get free mobile phones, healthcare, benefits and protest unchallenged about how they want to take over earth too

It was your comment!

Also said aliens took on human bodies and smashed human women too. In islam they believe aliens live amongst us all the time, i forget the name of them But humans cannot see them unless they possess a body, which is why people become mad and gay.

Dunno. I thought it was infinite. If it's not, I'm intrigued what's at end/sides. Must be like the world in the Trueman show.

I didn't know that. None of the holy books/organised religions do it for me.
