Well we won’t be able to reschedule the Ipswich game for the 14/4 as rumoured.

Pretty much guarantees that the Ipswich game will be played 28th or 29th April, as that is literally their only free midweek left.

An issue if we were to defeat Arsenal then, as the semi final would move the home Blackburn game.........

Nice problem for us to worry about hopefully 🤞

Predicting that the best team in Europe will beat us, even with a few changes, isn’t exactly outlandish.

No idea why it bothers you so much though, why do you care what I think?

That’s fair enough - I don’t overly care more a point that so many of our fans are such pessimists. Especially after a good display Sunday

Yeah very annoying. No reason why one game couldn't be at 3pm on the Saturday, the TV blackout doesn't apply that weekend.

Should be today.

There are rumours from Arsenal fans on Twitter that the kick off time is 8pm on Saturday.

Terrible kick off time, trains tricky enough , even have the possibility of extra time , very frustrating , loads of families will give it a miss now as well

Add to which its the Easter weekend.

If it was a league match I probably wouldnt bother but its a FA Cup Qtr Final and they dot come along every year !

BBC have been stitched up by TNT there as well. Theres no way they want two back to back games on BBC1 on the Saturday night.

Absolute mess these quarter finals.

I am at home with family in Southampton that weekend so probably will go (would have preferred to be going to Ipswich home though).

I don't actually mind that, better than the lunchtime KO for me.

Not ideal for those living outside city but all day drinking on a bank holiday weekend should have the crowd well up for it.

So will the Wrexham away game be moved back 29 hours until the Tuesday at 20:00 or are Saints expected to play 2 games in 3 days . Nothing from Saints yet.

Still don’t get what happens to the Blackburn game if we get through.

There would be one more free midweek.

I think the Wrexham game will get moved to 7th or 8th April, and then Blackburn at home would get moved to 14th or 15th.

Wouldn't worry about it :)

I'm more concerned about our cup final appearance being sandwiched between our play off fixtures and the massive advantage that will give to Port Vale...  ;)

Yeah I think Wrexham will be moved to Tuesday or Wednesday night, its the easiest change to make in all fairness.

8pm on a Saturday - that wont do any harm to the atmosphere at SMS...at least until we concede the third goal.

I seem to recall playing Arsenal in the cup with a bunch of kids and getting thrashed (forgive me if that has already been dicussed on this threaad). When was that? Not great fun. Going to b really tough, obviously, but I hope we can stay in the game at least.

It was just before the League Cup Final. 4th round, they smashed us 5-0.

About time they confirmed the new date for Wrexham and released ticket details. Not sure what’s taking them so long, it’s been obvious all week that Arsenal could only be on the Saturday.

To be more precise it was a few days after the LC semi final 2nd leg at Liverpool and was at the end of a sequence of 2 games a week, including the infamously tedious FA Cup 3rd round replay at home to Norwich. Basically ot was a game too far for our squad.
