Farmer Saint Posted March 19 Posted March 19 (edited) I'm not a big fan at the moment, as I'm sure a lot can tell, but that is mainly due to a lot of the native people that live here. However, this country does have some things going for it, so this thread is for positivity and good things about this country. So to start - this is pretty fucking cool: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy0dxexdd8xo Edited March 19 by Farmer Saint 1

egg Posted March 20 Posted March 20 The National Trust and some of its places are wonderful. Cragside, Fountains Abbey, Stourhead, plus some amazing public places - Tennyson Down, Compton Beach, amongst countless others. It's easy to dwell on the negatives, but this place has a lot going for it. 2

Overbecks is very good in Salcombe but the road up to is a 🐷 if you’ve got a bigger car. But if you like 1920s style and spectacular coastal scenery, you can’t beat Coleton. Croome is on our spring visit list - excited about that. Edited March 20 by Gloucester Saint 1

Not too bad with an annual membership - and the cafes aren’t that expensive comparatively these days. Loads of NT properties around here so we get our value out of it. 1

sadoldgit Posted Sunday at 20:16 Posted Sunday at 20:16 The BBC. Over the years it has provided the highest quality comedy shows, dramas, sporting events, current affairs programmes, documentaries , news, children’s programme natural history programmes, outside broadcasts from major historical events, international broadcasting, high quality radio broadcasting covering everything from pop, rock, classical music, drama and current affairs. I know it has its detractors on here, but there really isn’t a broadcasting company like it that has covered so many different areas so well for so long.

Yep we have a family membership it’s £13 a month but using it just once a month you get your moneys worth, also a good cause like you say.

Easy job, pick up some people, drive them around a bit whilst they got drunk, and get them back to Henley Management College without killing them. Bobby was on board and asked to use the PA system, then proceeded to crack jokes for about ten minutes. He also encouraged the guests to put their hands in their pockets to sort me and my crew out with some tips, so I can't fault him.
