Get the best team on from the start and go at it.

Then freshen it up second half and nail them for taking our unbeaten record a couple of years back.

Their defeat at home to Norwich today means they can't now mathematically make the playoffs (not that they were ever likely to). Hopefully with nothing left to play for we should be able to capitalise and make amends for our awful showing at Ashton Gate earlier in the season.

They'll make it tough but Norwich scoring 4 at Ashton Gate today shows they have defensive issues which we should be able to exploit. 3-1 Saints for me.

Feel that Woy will make it a very cagey scrappy game and will sit behind the ball for long periods. 1-0 win will do, and have a feeling it could go that way whereby it’s a bit nervy at times and we struggle to break them down . Conceding 4 at home today, he’s likely to double down on being defensive away from home to a side on record breaking winning form.

Absolutely go with the strongest possible team - if Ipswich drop points tomorrow we’ll have the chance to move second. Just applying that sort of pressure on the others will be huge I think, given the context of our run and form.

Cant afford to pass the opportunity up to get ahead of Millwall and either ahead or level with Ipswich if we are to have any chance of automatic promotion.

Still have to pinch myself that we’re in the mix. Unbelievable

Everything is predicated on both Millwall and Ipswich dropping points, but if Saints are going to overtake Ipswich's GD, then not only must they win, they need to win by a few.

No good going to Preston needing to win 3 or 4 nil. Need to ramp up the pressure every game.

Ridiculous, under normal circumstances a win would be sufficient, but this is the situation we find ourselves in. We have to ask the impossible.

All it needed was better management in Aug, Sept, and October, dreadful now we look back at it.

Time to banish the Bristolian poltergeist once and for all.

We've not reached 4th or 5th gear recently. It'd be nice to do that on Tuesday and put a few past them in a really convincing manner.

People often mention Bristol City ending our 25 game unbeaten streak in 2024.

But its the other one that still pains me. The one in December 2011.

We were flying, we were on the up. And we hadn't lost a league game at home since February.

And then Bristol fecking City turn up.

I hope we put this to bed, because I don't think I can take the treble from hell. That would put them in forever bogey territory.

Guessing, Stephens, fellows, Charles, larin rotate back in.

Wonder if archer might start & scienza play the last 30.

Archer could start instead of Azaz with his heavily strapped knee.

Ticket sales look strong, fair play big week for our fans , not many left mainly in Chapel block 20. Bristol City traditionally bring a big support to us , not sure how many travelling this time with it being midweek and nothing to play for.

They haven't sold out. Still about 950 left for their fans. Guess nothing to play for but they normally sell out in recent meetings with us regardless.

Reading the report of their game v Norwich yesterday I see that they’ve got that nasty little bastard Morsy playing for them.

Scrappy 1-0 win

Thing is we probably need a 3 nil if (Ipswich lose today) and we want to lump more pressure on them. Be nice to just need a 1 nil when we play them.

Yeah their away followings last few weeks have been very poor, they got nowhere near selling out at Charlton and also couldn't sell out the small allocation at QPR on a Saturday, I think if they have 950 left then they've only sold 1000 based on initial allocation they received

I would expect a Woy team that's just shipped 4 goals and has nothing to play for to park the bus. Although that's based on virtually no knowledge of their actual team.

Anyhoo, I think we need to play the strongest team with goals / creativity in it and try to put the game to bed inside 60 mins.

Azaz looked a bit laboured yesterday and Scienza played more minutes than he usually does, so I wonder if the data will be saying they should start on the bench.

I also wonder if it's THB's turn for a rest?

Anyway, if all are well I'd probably go:

Perry

Bree THB Stevo Manning

Charles Downes

Archer/Fellows Matsuki Scienza/Archer

Larin

Aim to give Welington at least half an hour if possible.

Swansea had nothing to really play for either but they certainly made it difficult.

They still had a very faint chance of a playoff place before kick off though. Just like we still have a very faint chance of taking second place.
