The one earlier he said he hadn't spoke to Gibson but had markedly changed his tune from yesterday re it now being "cheating" and boro will expect to be in the final one way or another. Lost a lot of respect for what Jordan says if hes just acting as a mouth piece for hire. It's on talksport YouTube channel. Tbf to him I expect he hadn't spoken to him but he certainly has now.
badgerx16 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) I feel this has grown into a much bigger affair than it needed to. What competitive advantage would any reasonable observer think we actually gained ? ( Based on provable fact rather than rabid conjecture ). Edited 1 hour ago by badgerx16 3

Well I don't know per se but my guess is that, if we knowingly sent the guy, we will be held culpable whether that be directly or indirectly. I'm just giving my view that it'll be worse for us if we admit to authorising any of this.

coalman Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I think the EFL needs to be consistent with the rest of the sporting sanctions this season. The only logical course of action is to deduct 10 points from Sheff Wed and award a penalty to Ipswich.

Although it's broken the rules what's actually happened here? It sounds like it could be a young early career kid has gone to a public place to watch a proffessional team train whilst in the area, possibly completely innocently as part of his own education and love for the sport. When asked to delete whatever it was he had recorded he did and mad a run for it probably shitting himself hes got himself in trouble. It doesnt sound like its a sinster plot to by SFC to uncover some grand secrets like it's being made out. Of course it might be if you strip away all the faux outrage, postering and media frenzy i suspect what's really happened here is a young kid is going to be sacked and career ruined for being a bit naive, not much more to see here than that. 4

Ed Rooney Posted 55 minutes ago Posted 55 minutes ago Can’t believe they would kick us out if we win tonight would be a huge claim by saints about loss of potential prem league revenue and loss of players. Also spygate only would have effected result of first leg - boro not scoring from 21 shots had more effect on that result. if boro reinstated wouldn’t hull have something to say if they lost to them, considering they have beaten us twice this season, they could take the we may have beaten saints stance. also if it drags on then hull would have lesser time to prepare for the correct opposition. absolute mess

The club and fanbase are using it as a diversion from them fucking up the automatic promotion that was in their hands most of the season. Feels a bit Scouse esque. 6

Whether we told him to do something and he did something else won't wash with any enquiry and won't be seen as an excuse. What if we told him to make sure he didn't encroach on the 72 hour embargo, but he ended up doing so without our knowledge....? 1

Yes, that sounds about right, should add though, club sack the kid if he accepts full responsibility and admits he did it off his own back, (no matter who knew what !!! ) but then give him a nice pay off say £100,000 as compensation and that's peanuts with what's at stake. Kid lays low for a couple of years with his nice big payoff, before remerging in a new career in a couple of years... sorted !!!!! Edited 41 minutes ago by 64saint 1

CanadaSaint Posted 24 minutes ago Posted 24 minutes ago If Gibson is deliberately fanning the flames by peddling falsehoods to the media, at what point does he contravene 3.4 himself? "In all matters and transactions relating to The League each Club shall behave towards each other Club and The League with the utmost good faith." I'm sure the EFL would like him to STFU while they sort this out. 7

I'd argue that relentlessly fanning the flames (even if the allegations are true) in the build up to such important games is worse than we've allegedly done. 2
