I mean punishment has been largely served on all front now, and after it was dished out the only people that stood by it were the EFL and Middlesbrough fans, board and local journos.

Everyone else said how ridiculous and harsh it was and they’ve since put a cork in it.

Everyone’s over it now.

to what extent of a stadium ban is too long? As in, we will have to get a new manager

I reckon anything more than 6 games myself....

I think we'll keep him if it's a touchline/stadium ban. Ban from all football activity is a different matter obviously.

keep him to what extent if he is banned from the touchline? 6 months?

If anything is given of that length it would be all football activity I'm sure. Not sure there's ever been a touchline only ban for that length of time.

I'm really not that arsed about a touchline ban of 6-10 games, not sure it'll make a huge difference. As long as he's back for the skates.

This is the most severe case of the breach of Rule E3 I can find where a substantial ban was handed down - Peter Beardsley was banned for seven months from all footballing activity

Thats for three charges as well. Racism is a way worse crime that what Tonda did.

Orient manager got this for going nuts at a game in April. 3 charges again.

This saga becomes more ridiculous by the day. A spot of scouting leads this sorry saga? It doesn't even come near to some of the cheating seen in the world cup. Anything more than a suspended ban bu the FA blazers would be completely over the top and should be challenged hard.

Yeah, racism is a different ball park to this though.

Exactly, so I think any talk of a lengthy ban would be utterly ridiculous

The problem is FIFA dished out a 12 month ban for spying at the Olympics. The FA may decide to align with that. We've already been hit with the upper end of punishments by the EFL and there's nothing an official likes more than beating down someone who can't fight back (ie not one of the big boys)

As was throwing us out of the competition though. Nothing would surprise me to be honest.

Exactly right. We are relatively low hanging fruit for the football authorities to show “they mean businesss”

What did pardew get for head butting that player on touchline that time.

… sorry just found it he got a 7 match suspension for a serious breach

To who? Who are the FA accountable to? Most people don't see the FA in positive terms, banning Tonda won't improve that a jot. Who are they showing they 'mean business' to, exactly?

Won’t improve it to Saints fans, but the holier than thou groups, and they are massive in football, justice will be done

Sometimes but when Enzo Fernandez posted a video of himself and other Argentina players chanting a racist song about France's players of african heritage they did literally nothing , admittedly I guess it was under FIFA when it took place but he was a high profile player in the premier league being irrefutably racist , undoubtedly bringing the game into disrepute in my eyes

For all the FAs rainbow laces and kick it out they did fuck all and Chelsea issued a statement presumably not actually written by Fernandez saying he definitely wasn't racist and that was that

Are Chelsea to big to fail but we're small enough to be made an example of

What if Tonda was actually on the spectrum and had some form of autism, where he couldn’t contain his uncontrollable urge to pursue perfection at any cost? Would the FA be frothing at the mouth so much to make an example of him then, we’ve been punished enough, fuck the FA.
