The Kraken Posted October 11 Posted October 11 Quite enjoyed the Liverpool banner, “All of your stars are fading away” 1

City getting it every time they have a spell of possession, fight a few minutes ago on the pitch and some of the banners - the ‘We’re not Here’ with the trophies crossed out and another in the Kop corner saying ‘a generation of supporters cheated’. Very poor game. Been building it up for weeks and it's tepid. 1

Weirdly I’d like to see City score just for the rabid frothing of scouse hordes that would no doubt follow. Edited October 11 by John Boy Saint 2 1

It's funny now watching the pundits try to come up with something to talk about - they could always mention City's cheating but it's all swept conveniently under the carpet unlike spygate. 1
saintant Posted October 11 Posted October 11 Oops. Liverpool down to ten. Now the Scousers will show their feelings. 1

You nearly had your wish - Haaland very surprising miss clean through. Scouse fury directed at the referee for second Gravenberg yellow instead. Carra Spit the Dog fuming on commentary. 1

AlexLaw76 Posted October 11 Author Posted October 11 I hope city get what is coming to them....but not today 🤣 3
saintant Posted October 11 Posted October 11 City will surely lose these 3 points in the punishment 🙂

LiberalCommunist Posted October 11 Posted October 11 There's a proper meltdown going on regarding City winning today. Some fans are absolutely furious. Why are they still in the league? How are they allowed to play? And that bench, is that even permitted? I'm sorry, but I find it hilarious. If this is every weekend then I might even start paying attention to the EPL.
whelk Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Assume will only be two relegation spots in PL this season but Coventry, Hull and Ipswich all look equipped to survive. Hopefully Bournemouth go
Colinjb Posted October 12 Posted October 12 (edited) Enjoying Coventry's win here. Particularly the advantage for their third from the ref, very nicely done. Edited October 12 by Colinjb
Toussaint Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Newcastle are terrible. Their new manager isn’t working out so far.

Lost most of their top level players (Gordon, Tonali, Guimaries) and quite a few others out injured at the start of the season (Burn, Joelinton, Livramento, Ramsey). They signed a bunch as well but that's a major upheaval to handle as s new manager.

It’s more a comment on it being a results business and being a being a bit confused by the clubs strategy.
Britannia Posted October 13 Posted October 13 (edited) Club are taking the piss here for West Ham. Why bother with categories if you are just going to have something silly like Cat A*? Edited October 13 by Britannia
HertsSaint Posted October 13 Posted October 13 It's essentially a way to stop Membership Plus members from using their free tickets for the most attractive games. They did something similar with the derby on Sunday, so it wasn't eligible. 1

But I would think most sensible Geordie fans would take 8 points from 6 games and mid-table after losing their best players and their manager plus bad injury list so far. They won't be happy about last night though obviously! Not sure about club strategy, Eddie Howe clearly wasn't happy about the player sales!

Fabrice29 Posted October 13 Posted October 13 U21's currently 5-4 up with 20 minutes to go against Boston United. Were 2 behind on a couple of occasions. 1
Saint NL Posted October 13 Posted October 13 Watford 3-0 down before half time. The manager might as well not bother coming out for the second half 🤣 2
LiberalCommunist Posted October 13 Posted October 13 That first day result is going to feel more painful as the season progresses. 3

Midfield_General Posted October 13 Posted October 13 (edited) Watching Stoke vs. Boro. HT: Boro are tidy enough on the ball and have a lot of it but haven't created anything. Cozier-Duberry down the right looks their biggest threat and most of their play is aimed at getting him on the ball, but he's not done anything of any real note. Lankshear obviously poses a threat but has had no service whatsoever. They play fairly high up and can be pressed into mistakes in midfield to create spaces in behind. Really not that impressed so far. Think Stoke will hold them at arm's length and then nick something. They look very beatable if you set up right. Edit: Could be wrong though lol. Good finish tbf. LiberalCommunist Posted October 13 Posted October 13 (edited) A promising Wolves counter-attack comes to nowt as Adam Armstrong fires tamely at Bolton keeper Gavin Bazunu from Rafiki Said's clever delivery into the box. Probably expected Baz to dive out the way! Edited October 13 by LiberalCommunist

Britannia Posted October 13 Posted October 13 (edited) Commentators curse. ”Can they keep a lead away from home?” No they can’t. Edited October 13 by Britannia Oops
Gloucester Saint Posted October 13 Posted October 13 Kick in the guts in the 97th minute for Burnley from Charlton. When you sign Jamie Vardy though, my sympathy is limited.
