We HAVE to fill the ground for Burnley

Legod Third Coming

No chance..... if there was thr slightest sign that the players are responding to the predicament then many more would go.........but frankly this sorry bunch of losers will be gone in a few weeks time to some other position as an overpaid, underperforming journeyman for some other poor club.......I 'd like to wish them well but thay don't care about Saints and I don't care about them.......any new owner will be totally aware of the same thing!

But its not about the here and know is it? Its about the future of SFC and trying to prove to any prospective owners that we are worth more than a punt. **** the lot on the pitch - if they don't care - I know I do.

People don't get it do they.

It doesn't matter one jot who is on the pitch.

It's not about going for them.

It's about the FUTURE of a 124 year-old club which may or may not be here in another 124 years.

Empty seats simply hasten the end of a football club that for all but a brief period has represented the town of Southampton, Hampshire and US in a way we can be proud to reflect on.

The current team are irrelevant. The current manager is irrelevant.

SURVIVAL is what I care about.

I agree with you 100%, hence I still have an ST and I'll be there. we have to look beyond the present (relegation), the immediate past (Lowe - Wilde - Poortvliet), the soon to be past (Wotte, half the players) and think of the future and hope there is one.

100% agree. I will take as many people as I can possibly drag along.

I reckon it will sell-out, or very close to it. As the week wears on, and the dust settles on Saturday's debacle (yet again) fans will realise the gravity of the situation but as usual and typical of Saints fans it will be all last minute.

If any of the 120,000 that applied for the 2003 FA Cup Final tickets are undecided about next Saturday then wake up...THIS COULD BE THE LAST CHANCE YOU GET TO SEE SFC.

Just got round to buying some tickets. That's 3 that aren't usually there (not through protest but due to work and living oop north).

I'm dragging a Liverpool and Man Yoo fan down with me (neither of which have ever actually been to a professional football match apparently, surprise surprsie ). You never know, a good game and a good atmosphere, we might even convert them both.

We really need an absolute minimum of 30,000 I think. Lets hope we beat that (out-selling the Man Utd game somehow would be good, but doubt we'll manage it.)

Utter tosh.

Potential investors will put their business plan together based on historic gates, i.e. circa 15k if we are struggling in the Championship and probably 3-4k less when we drop down a league.

No-one in their right mind would be swayed by a couple of games towards the end of the season when the armchair fans can be bothered to get off their *rses

They may not be swayed by the Burnley gate, but surely we are trying to send out the right signals, post-Lowe, AND making sure that there is enough money coming in by buying tickets, programmes, etc. to keep us going until a buyer can be found.

All the time everyone leaves it to everyone else we are in danger of losing our club through apathy.

After saturday and the manager basically accepting relegation then i doubt we will top 20-22k. I hope Im wrong. If Barnsley lose we can still stay up and I have stupid hope left that there is a sting in the tail and we get out of it...I have to go now and have a lie down after such a stupid idea

To encourage anyone, it would be best to point out that Saints are guaranteed a win on Saturday.

Then, instead of a nice chilled-out meaningless affair at Forest on the last day which we can all just enjoy for the day out, we can get all het up about "great escapes" and so forth, and proceed to watch those gutless bastards sh*t themselves and go down with a whimper.

'05 all over again, I tells ya.

if someone told the players we could still stay up we may have half a chance!

I think they knew that before Saturdays game.Did they respond.

Did they respond beford the Charlton game.No they blew it like the bunch of Prima Donas they are.

They believed their own hype all season and this is the results. This team were boasted to be the Hungry ,Slick and most skillful side in years. What a load of crap.I have seen most Home games this season and they deserve **** all.We are going down and that what we deserve.

I will be there on Saturday and at the end of the game everybody should boo the ******s off the pitch.

Go down to the touch line and tell the unfit tossers exactly what you think of them.If people had done it earlier in the Season we might have seen some response from the players.

The point has nothing to do with investors - it has to do with whether we have the MONEY to fulfil this year's fixtures. It has to do with whether we can afford to pay stewards and ticket office staff.

Christ, what part of needing £500k is too complex for you??

think we should do the opposite and just let them play, to much pressure otherwise for the poor boysh.

although i expect Wotte will compare Lloyd James to Roberto Carlos in Thursday's Echo

roll up, roll up!!

Fill the big tent one more time for the last ever appearance of the post-Rupert Flying Dutchmen's Circus and Freak show.

See clowns dressed as defenders, be amazed at midfielders juggling ludicrous pay packets and marvel at forwards who can represent their country and play champions league but are incapable of hitting a plump Jersey's arse with a banjo.

Bring the kids if they have been naughty, it won't be entertaining but look beyond the useless acts assembled by the ruddy-faced looney ringmaster, just be there for the future of the club!

Or if you are of a nervous disposition, buy a ticket but stay at home.

Anyone and I mean anyone who claims to be a saints fan and doesnt buy a ticket for saturdays game is a disgrace. There is absolutely no excuse for any saints fan not buy a ticket to save the club. If you cant go for whatever reason buy one anyway.

18k tickets sold for the last home game (possibly ever) of the season. It shows who the real fans are.

I agree. WE MUST PACK THE GROUND. Support the Saints. Wotte is a useless manager, the team almost all need to be sold and a new one in to replace them but LG3C is right. We need to support our Club... get the new owners to see the potential!

See you on Saturday!

Yet another sensible quote. It's about protecting our heritage and not endorsing the current team and manager. I've supported Saints for over 50 years. It means more than just the current setup to me and to many others.

The Football Club has no money.

To avoid the Club itself being put into admin as well as the PLC it MUST pay it's way and must NOT become legally insolvent.

Within the next few days it must by FL regulations pay it's salaries. EVERY indication is that it is tight on money to do that.

Even IF Mark Fry met a buyer TOMORROW who is interested in buying the club, that buyer will still have to do due dilligence, examine the books, the players contracts and the costs of running the stadium. that would take at least a couple of days.

Once an OFFER is made, Fry would have to speak to the creditors and get their approval, that would take several days as any reduction on a 24mil debt with Aviva would require senior management level approval as would Barclays.

At BEST, if an offer came in this week it could take 2-3 weeks BEFORE any money came into the CLUB.

And in that time the ONLY people who could have helped give the buyers and Mark Fry the time were us.

Sure the team is a crock of sh1t, the players don't deserve to wear the shirt, they sure as hell don't deserve the stupid wages, but unfortunately right now, we HAVE to help Mark and give him time, that means buying the ticket for Saturday and then buying the ticket for Saints Aid.

You don't have to DONATE, buy the ticket and don't turn UP if you want to still protest about our sorry state, but we HAVE to do all we can to get every extra 25 quid in NOW.. from any possible source whatsoever.

124 years down the drain because of apathy simply because we've been destroyed by one man who's already left the building - what a crap epitaph.

Thank you Phil - that sums up the importance of what Saturday means. No more words from me necessary.
