We cannot go down now. Three points against Stoke to end with please. -
That first half shows to me that we play the right way, we have a good nucleus, but we need (as we all know) three or four new players in the summer to push on. It's the final ball which is letting us down -- just that extra little bit of flair.
-
If Villa lose to Chelski and we get a point at Sunderland, we can't go down. Do the maths.

Anyone see David Moyes on MOTD a few weeks ago? Quietly singing Saints' praises and saying explicitly that MP has improved the team and style of play. He's no bvll****ter. -
Just did the BBC predictor, and managed to relegate Newcastle on goal difference from Villa. Bit of a surprise really.
-
I think today was a blessing in disguise. Because it reminded the manager and the chairman that we need to buy some better defenders in the summer to make progress. MP was an international CB, so he can see that I'm sure. The boys look really tired too - long hard season taking its toll. And bad as it was today, we've come a hell of a long way since the last time West Brom made us look stupid.
-
Last we'll see of him. Gaston'll be back. Wake. Up. Call. We'll win at White Hart Lane now.
-
His miss on Saturday at 0-0 made me laugh out loud. Brilliant.
-
JayRod will be the first one to get a cap I reckon. If he stays fit (and England qualify) he should be in Brazil next summer.
-
Maybe they'll take their time getting the new man in - maybe making his first game as gaffer.... Saints at home. Oh B0llocks.
-
They won because Pards did what he does best - buy well in the window. Not sure how good a coach he is, but he's a genius at spotting the right players to improve his team. SRL take a bow...
-
I'm not sure anyone else in our squad would have had the nerve to finish like Gaston did against QPR. Absolute ****ing quality. But he's been chronically inconsistent. We can all (well most of us) see the flashes of genius - now he needs to do it much more often. I'm still optimistic for season 2.

This thread? FFS.

Right then. Surman will score with a thirty five yard screamer obviously. So I'm going for a Rickie double and a 2-1 win. COYR
-
It was depressingly inevitable that Cvntflapps would come down and grab a win. Time for a large beer.

Dear God, I'm glad some of the posters on here weren't fighting in the trenches for us in 1916 or flying Spitfires over the Kent coast in 1940. Man up, for pity's sake, and see you at SMS next Saturday. -
Apart from the stupid challenge to give Utd the free kick and second goal, thought J-Rod did really well at OT. And I just have a hunch that he'll be well up for it as a Burnley boy on his return to the north-west. Him, Adam and Gaston behind Rickie with Punch to come on if needed.
-
If that second half is the new Pochettino pressing style it's going to be ****ing brilliant. Great second half, if we'd had our shooting boots with us we'd have had a point at least. Well played lads.

Jay Rod - stoopid

Great article. Loved him from the moment he arrived - class and getting better.

Loved him in L1. Love him now. Wenger will bid in the summer. Hope we have the balls to say do one.
