F@ck it, I'm looking at the positives. JWP coming on and immediately making us better - great delivery for the free kick (he's just 19). And Gallagher, who I'd hardly even heard of, looking pretty tidy and making some decent runs and touches on his debut (he's 18 and 6'4") Future's bright.

Boruc would be quite a good shout for a Bond villain. Love 'im. And he will save us those two points lost pretty quickly too.

I suspect we may never see Rickie on the field in an England shirt again. Attitude towards him has been really patronising. Really hope I'm wrong - but if I'm right huge respect to the man for showing them that he could cut it (even if they were only waiting for the Big Club players to come back).

That first half shows to me that we play the right way, we have a good nucleus, but we need (as we all know) three or four new players in the summer to push on. It's the final ball which is letting us down -- just that extra little bit of flair.

Just did the BBC predictor, and managed to relegate Newcastle on goal difference from Villa. Bit of a surprise really.

I think today was a blessing in disguise. Because it reminded the manager and the chairman that we need to buy some better defenders in the summer to make progress. MP was an international CB, so he can see that I'm sure. The boys look really tired too - long hard season taking its toll. And bad as it was today, we've come a hell of a long way since the last time West Brom made us look stupid.
