Yeah I was a little shocked by the fact that we've only played 8 away out of 21... and we've lost half of them. Great win today, but really need to beat D&R away to keep things going. Time to crank it up Saints...!

That's a bit harsh.

What's really encouraging is that we've won again without playing that well, and we've not really hit peak form all season - and yet we're only four points off the top two. Once we hit a purple patch I'm pretty confident we can set a pace no-one else will match.

Hopefully it will be like last year. Get shown up at Hudders while we have a relatively new manager settling in. And then we do them big style when we get them back to St Marys. But I agree with those above who say we shouldn't expect to lose to promotion rivals. That's no way to get near the top two. We should expect to win - not assume we'll win - but certainly expect it.

I think he might just play all three and bring Judy off the bench to inject some pace and unpredictability.

I hope being permanently singed doesn't affect his football ability. It's a painful condition.

Yup, let's hope he stays around for a long time and guides us to success. I wish him all the best. But it's obviously a bit of a gamble. He's never had to deal with the pressure of expectation before, and no-one - perhaps including himself - knows how well he'll cope with that. On the other hand he's obviously a bright articulate coach, and well-respected within the game. Good luck Nige!

If someone at the club really told 5Live on Saturday that it would be a big appointment which would impress the fans... then Adkins - no offence to the guy who is clearly a very good coach - just ain't the man. Frankly, if Cortese comes out and says 'My fellow Saints, the dream continues. Glad I haven't spent most of the last week reading this board. Cortese does at times sound like he'd be able to pick a fight in a phone box - but there's nothing wrong with fighters. We could do with a couple more to get us out of this league.

And while we're about it, fair play to Huddersfield. When we were coming up fast on the rails a few weeks ago it was clear someone would bottle it. Colchester did big time, but Huddersfield raised their game (after the shock of a five nil defeat at St Marys ) and kept winning with last minute goals - again yesterday. So even if we had beaten Odlham and the Gills we would have been out of it today. Huddersfield deserve it - hope they win the playoffs.

The good news I presume is that not that many champ clubs can match our wages our our realistic 3-5 year plan (which I think, with the investment involved, now has to be aiming for consecutive promotions - tough, but it's been done before). I suspect Jose would only be tempted if a Prem club made an offer. Hope so anyway. Apart from Pulis, Morgan is the most likely key player to leave this summer IMO - hope that doesn't happen either.

Ifs and Buts... IF we won all our remaining games I think we'd overall two of Charlton, Colchester and Huddersfield. BUT I'm pretty sure we won't win them all. It'll be fun trying though.

We have to aim to be less than ten points off the play-offs. That's a realistic target and will give us the confidence going in to next season that we were a play off standard team who can only get better.
