Good posters that don't bother any more and you can see why!
Special K replied to Turkish's topic in The Muppet Show
I don't see that. I see challenges to posts, from all angles, and I see some people give up trying to post on a thread becaue they cannot (for whatever reason) and then simply revert to name calling (trolls, WUM's, etc) in order to try and rescue some form of integrity from the keyboard. Well, that's how it appears to me anyway. There will always be the odd bit of abuse thrown in, but if anyone takes this seriously, then I think they should take a break from it all as it means nothing. Mucho respecto to the regular posters who have a go though, even the ones like pap who are constantly wrong () but who are never afraid to post opinions and add to the forum. -
I live in SO15 5 and have got virgin for broadband and phone. Not too tech savvy so don't know about routers, superhubs, etc. But after initial problems with the installation we now get regular 30 megs download at primetime evening use on a basic package. This appears to cope easily with 2 sky boxes, 2 TV's, 2 laptops, 3 phones and 2 tablets (don't know if that matters at all). Best advice I can give is get the mobile number of the Engineer that is called out to you as the Virgin support line is bobbins. We just gave the fella a buzz with any issues and he was there quickly. Been super reliable for about 12 months now. Good luck.

Nigel Adkins to take Southampton to tribunal
Special K replied to Only1Northam's topic in The Saints
Don't be so precious, you fool. It's not about cleaning us out, but don't let that impede your undoubted preference for hyperbole. And I'm sure the vast wealth and backing that SFC have, as we are all being told the club has, will barely notice the peanuts that will be paid to Adkins. It's not just about a job. It's about decency and respect. NA was treated with none, but if you cannot see that and then chose to call me a moron, well i guess that spaks volumes for you and your abiity to grasp even simple moral concepts. -
They're all on the p!ss, these Cardinals. All locked up in the big house with a shedload of gange, booze and acid. They let the smoke out once a day when it get's too foggy in there. Decided the new geezer in 5 minutes with an arm wrestle and spend the next few days getting monged.

Nigel Adkins to take Southampton to tribunal
Special K replied to Only1Northam's topic in The Saints
Eh? Maybe you need to use your head when posting replies. You state it's just business and then try to draw an emotice distinction between the Club and ex Manager and infer that if you don't blithely support the club on this, then you are not a "real" fan? Don't act like your username. IMHO, I hope NA takes the nasty little **** to the cleaners. -
It all looks quite impressive and whilst NC has undoubted drive, I am unaware that SFC actually own any of the land outside their current boundary. Negotiations for purchase could take many years and unless SFC would be willing to fund the whole development, which I guess could happen if the Liebherr's are interested, they'd have to find development partners with an appetite to develop what is, not a great area. This is something that might prove difficult as returns might not be attractive enough. It would also have to link in with the Councils local plan and the relocation of business and trade hubs would be subject to external influences that SFC aren't in control of. But if the Council have got any balls, then linking any ideas SFC have here with a proper regeneration of the Ocean Village area may well provide some inpetus, but for me, this would be many years of long hard work with no guarantee of success. But with the right team working on it anything could happen.

RIP Was a good commentator. Very sad news.

So which term do I use now? Do I use Nob End or Knob End when insulting those of the main forum board? I'm confused now? Perhaps i should just stick to using the term Bellend?

Well done CB Fry. Excellent fishing trip. Lot's of catches from the poor unfortunates that occupy the murky waters that is the SW forum.

I'm always amazed at how emotional some get over the mistreatment of animals, yet are quite nonchalant regarding abuses of humans and the treatment of their fellow man, woman or child, irrespective of which part of the world it occurs in. Obviously, i am not referring to any posters on this thread (before anyone jumps), just a general observation, like.

Don't agree. The final choice of venue for south coast bids was between St Mary's and the Amex with a (as i understand it) very closely fought contest between the two. The RFU delved pretty deeply into both bids, but chose the Amex. Fair enough, St Mary's put up a good bid as i understand it. Shame, as it would have been terrific to have hosted some RWC matches. And before you ask, my source comes from Brighton FC.

Good on him. I hope he ****s Cortese through the courts. Nasty little bastard deserves it.
-
Exactly. 5 points from 18 is a poor return and almost certain relegation form. It makes Mr Ego's decision to sack NA when he did all the more bizarre. Still NC can never be wrong, as this forum often tells us, and as ruthlessness always equals success I'm looking forward to the easy victories that will come in the next few games.

MPs "pushing up" tactics - are they easy to counter ?
Special K replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
I've been thinking the same. But i very much doubt teams will seek to counter our tactics for a full 90 minutes and will always seek to impose themselves on the game too. That would be giving little old Saints too much respect! The exception to this may be the game tomorrow of course. Shearer tried to explain some counter measures on MOTD2 last week when talking of his beloved Toon. But we still scored 2 goals away from home and could easily have had 4. Not too shabby for a team that is being "countered". -
I was surfing the net on the computer the other night when the wife came in and asked what i was looking at. "Flights" I said. "I love you!" she said, got down on her knees and gave me the best BJ i'd had in years. Strange, i didn't think she liked darts. Took the wife dogging the other night, but by the time she'd finished parking the car, everyone had got bored and ****ed off home.

Wes, you are a ****, worst poster on this forum, devoid of wit, reason and humour. Only joking of course as I'm glad you will take that as just a forthright, valid opinion. Obviously i understand I am somewhat against the popular opinion, but i don't think he is as bad as some make out. I agree with you the AL offered him little protection, but that is for AL to address and doesn't make DF a bad defender in itself. I don't agree that he would have played if there were better options either, no manager would make that mistake. If he does play a part in the run in, his performance will be greatly reduced if there are sections of the crowd that get on his back, especially during a tense game. Reminds me of how Lundekvam lost confidence when got relegated from the Prem last time.

Perhaps you haven't read the posts? "He's ****e!" "****ing Liability!" "Useless, worst in the squad!". If this isn't an over reaction, and worthy of term such as "dummy spitter", i don't know what is. OK, he had a bad day yesterday, but it happens. Certainly doesn't deserve this sort of crap. He has been good the last couple of starts he's made and is improving after the start to the season. but hey, we need a scapegoat when anything goes wrong and with Guly on the treatment table, it's got to be Fox, right? And what is this nonsense about former players becoming managers? I suppose you can read in what you like to my posts, but my point was (and i guess i have to re-iterate for you) that both managers have played him and have put faith in him. If not they would have played Clyne, Forren, Yoshida or even Richardson at LB, when Shaw isn't available. On the radio today Morgan was signing his praises. In the difficult run in we have he needs to be on his game as and when we need him and he won't be with the morons throwing mindless insults around like confetti whenever he touches the ball.
-
I'd hazard a guess that both the last manager and the current manager know a **** of a lot more about football than you and 99% of the dummy spitters on this forum and, particularly, on this thread.

UKIP candidate says Romanians are associated with crime....

As I said before, let the fit birds and qualified doctors in and then close the doors. Let Fritzy have the ugly ones and tea leaves. We don't need them sorts on our green and pleasant. -
Saint Or Sinner Nicola Cortese Drives Southampton On
Special K replied to Graffito's topic in The Saints
Dare i say that it is too early to say whether his latest "big decision" has been successful or not. We'll know the outcome of that one in May. And how we can be "aiming for Europe" when we are 3 points off the relegation zone is beyond me. Perhaps, it's a comment on ambition, but that can be said of the top placed 30 odd clubs in the country, so hardly revelatory. Not a good piece at all, imho. -
to be fair i would have thought this is the best time to start having a pop at Northerners, when they are stood next to you, so you can get your point across, like. You should have set your whippet on the chap and cuffed him around the back of his head with your flat cap. That would've learned him.

Saints spent over £35m on players this season, the last game saw them outplay Man Utd at Old Trafford with 21 shots on goal. Yet people complain! Or so MLG told us. We didn't do too bad as it happens. I think there were 10 on target, which is a healthy on-target ratio at the Mancs. Need to bang some goals in though. Hopefully SRL will have his scoring boots on.
-
Created a lot of chances in one half only of the last two games, scoring only 1 goal. This is the main problem for me. Hopefully we'll bury more chances on Saturday. I think Wigan re-signing Scharner will be interesting. He could be well up for it and used to come up with some important goals during his first spell there, iirc. Like to think we go into this with the same mentality as QPR away. Going for a narrow Saints win.
-
Will be very difficult to stay up. If key players stay free from injury we should be just about OK. If we lose 2 or 3 for a month or two I think the lack of depth will be exposed. Will be exciting though so really looking forward to a survival scrap.

Fed up with being plucky losers. Take the chances, win the game, then we can crow.
