  1. Wish they'd just **** off back to their own forum. Why do they come here to big up their own ****ty club at how great finishing 10 points above the drop zone is? Can't remember too many other clubs fans feeling it necessary to do that on here, but these Scouse ******s seem in constant need of self validation.
  2. How can he be a hypocrite? The Scousers gave him money to spend, especially after they sold Suarez, as the Kop were spitting blood all over their replica tops. If he'd spent nothing after selling Suarez and said he was going to concentrate on bringing through the youth instead, he'd have been on the first train back to Swansea. The fact he spent it badly is another thing altogether. He said some things to the media, but managers play the media game and then sometimes live to regret it. Hopefully he's learned from that time and will be less of a ***t in the future. He's not a bad manager and the Celtic job is a chance to raise a profile in a below average league. CL qualification is paramount though, so i hope his players have plenty of "character" and BR also reads a thesaurus to broaden his vocabulary.
  3. Some ugly comments on their forum, but it's just a reaction to their recent failures, having slid anonymously down the league this season and not achieving anything other than mediocrity in recent years. They are a bit like your aging uncle who is slowly turning towards alcoholism whilst being jealous of your new home, cracking bird and better paid job. I couldn't give a toss if they have a better history, more trophies, whatever. What matters is what happens today and tomorrow. They can pull one off over Dixie dean or whoever they like, it means **** all in today's league. And that **** talking about the cruise business, what a bellend.
  4. His current role doesn't give him much opportunity to score. As he's a keen eye for a pass and is energetic i was thinking it may be worth trying him there as we can't afford a really good number 10, but maybe not.
  5. Would it be worth considering Claisie for an attacking midfielder role, in the number 10 behind the striker? Or do you think we'd lose too much attacking ability?
  6. Don't go breaking his heart.
  7. But you still want the Schools where your kids go to be the best, roads to be built and repaired, Police, Fire Service and Ambulance to be present every time you need them, the NHS to be free and readily available, the Country defended, your pension to be paid and welfare to help you and your family when you need it. The "argument" of the pikey sat at home on mega benefits is a shabby, pathetic excuse, used by people to justify their own dubious actions. This is not moral high ground, either. To proclaim it is, is another paltry attempt to divert away from the truth and justify a wrong. The way money is spent is another argument entirely and is not an excuse to avoid paying taxes that are due. You know what the tax liabilities are before you do your work. To whinge about it when you have to pay it, is at best, pathetic and at worst, downright f**king stupid. I agree with you when you say that there are a lot of people who avoid tax. Again, not an excuse to pay it, but a f**k of a lot of the problems in this Country would be resolved is less companies and individuals thought the way you do.
  8. True enough. Leicester had us sussed and we had no answer. Our whole attacking strategy was to try and float crappy, wayward, poncy crosses into a box that was crowded with big Leicester players determined to win the ball against lightweight Saints attackers who whinge or dive instead of put in the hard yards and a decent shift. Very poor, predictable and ponderous.
  9. Really? I thought we were poor. They let us have possession knowing they had our attack sown up. The pretty play up to the box is, for me, no indication of a good performance. We float crosses in when up against two of the tallest, strongest and best headers at CB in Morgan and Huth. We had nothing up front at all, save for Mane's run on goal and we seemed to persist in trying to attack the same way knowing they was very little chance of reward.
  10. Personally speaking, not as much as the dull ache in my head that presents itself upon reading another of your persecution-complex inspired banalities.
  11. Fancy Cue Card for the Gold Cup. Maybe a 1-2 with Don Cossack. On the Fringe should walk to 4.10. Bet victor were offering a Zubayr / Don Cossack / On the Fringe win treble at a massive 85/1 this morning. Dropped to 70's now, but well worth a couple of quid of anyone's money.
  12. More to do with fishing Hypo and it did work, if indeed that was the motive.
  13. I think he posted it as a wind up and judging by the replies, he succeeded very well.
  14. "...only got 15 thou on the clock, genuine like, full leather, you Dutch like that so I 'ear. Runs lovely. Ten bags o' sand, cash mind, and she's yours. I'm cutting me own throat, Ron"
  15. Bloody hell, Mane can be soooo frustrating to watch..
  16. It is. But it was amusing watching him try to man up to Toure (failing miserably) and then miss the penalty. Interesting that he really hasn't improved since moving to Liverpool, apart from his bank balance of course. I wonder if Klopp will have him out of the door this summer as some have suggested? Liverpool will make a big loss if they do.
  17. Atkinson must have read the article before kick off and wanted to redress the balance.
  18. "Wey arr Soussssshampton"?
  19. Yeah, I agree. Perhaps with those who have left to go onto bigger clubs, there could be an element of their ego being massaged to the extent they believe they do not have to improve further, or perhaps they find the environment more disruptive than down here. Not sure, but the majority seem to falter rather than continue to improve. Onto the signings we make, the fact we take mid table, lower league or foreign players who still have to prove themselves makes us less likely to fail with a signing, but as you say, the scouting and coaching needs to be top drawer to start with - we don't seem to suffer like the North East clubs, for example, with knee jerk foreign signings that really don't make an impression. Good training facilities help too.
  20. I would bletch, but my ankles are ****ed after trying to haul my fat @rse around the five a side pitch for more years than I care to remember. I could do some goalie duty, I s'pose, but even bending down to pick the ball out of the net is an ask these days.
  21. There was a fascinating documentary on BBC2 a year or so ago - his life seemed truly remarkable and the way he portrayed his achievements was so matter of fact. I'd be interested to hear what you think of his autobiography as I haven't read it yet, but have been meaning to get a copy since I saw the TV show.
  22. Apparently, Boris joining the "Leave" campaign is big news. Not outside London, it's not as no-one I know who lives outside the M25 gives a toss about the crazy haired ***t.

    Bilic

Yeah, he comes across well, in a quiet, non-dramatic way. Wouldn't like to fight him though - he looks like he could be a complete psycho. He's done very well with a WH team that struggled for consistent form under Big Sam. Added a couple of astute signings and he's got them very hard to beat.
  24. As others have said, the ability to slow the action down and see it from numerous camera angles, makes the armchair fan able to think they can do better than refs (including me when I say they are all a "little bit crap"!). I guess ref's have always had a tough job, but whilst they are not doing it much better than before, we are able to see every mistake they make in glorious HD slo mo action.
  25. I don't think he's any worse than any other ref, tbh. They all seem a bit crap.
