  1. Did you design it? It is appalling. It is uninspiring, looks drab and already looks dated. It's like the fad with throwing wood up on new houses, it'll weather very quickly. If they wanted to do something contemporary rather than glass (although glass does look great), then why not a brick built tower? Battersea Power Station style - that still looks amazing and red brick can offer a large building a huge amount of character. Like this in Kingston; http://www.architecturelist.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/1539tothemanorborn_pic3.jpg
  2. No thanks, Farage is entertaining, but the majority of his candidates have some very dodgy ideas. The main parties are all central ground, but maybe that's not a bad thing either?
  3. It is REALLY grim, but it can't be as bad as the Woolwich Tesco, surely? http://www.london24.com/polopoly_fs/1.3755672!/image/image.jpg_gen/derivatives/landscape_490/image.jpg
  4. But we needed to concentrate on getting 8th in the league. 7th was achievable don't you know? Tsk!
  5. Good, hope we till get a few million for him. Utter jizz-gobbling lemon.
  6. Of course not. Everton I'd say are one of England's biggest clubs, Tottenham included, but Newcastle no.
  7. Newcastle really are complete guff aren't they? We should have stuck 8 past them, Stoke should have 4. Awful team, I will be happy to put money on them going down. Even appointing a new manager will not save them, just a complete bunch of misfits, they'll need Alex Ferguson on speed to do anything.
  8. It is ridiculous and it does appear to be very bored people with very little to do in their lives that seem to look for problems everywhere and complain about nothing.
  9. Worth it for that line alone, brilliant!
  10. Is he?? Christ, that's scary, I still considered him to be "young with time to develop" ... wow, time has flown!!
  11. Just read that, absolutely brilliant article - one which a few on here could learn from ...
  12. House of Fraser normally do a good range of suits that are more "upper end" of the off the shelf range. Most House of Frasers have access to a tailor who can make alterations for very little too. Last one I bought wasn't expensive, about £3-400, but after £20 of alterations to make it fit even better, it looks much more tailored. I did, many years ago, probably in 1999, buy a machine washable suit from Tesco for £30. Jesus christ, that was bloody horrendous.
  13. Agree!
  14. Forgot about that utter w**kstain.
  15. I think it's sad how everyone is so concerned what the "media" think. Just enjoy watching the team being second, who cares what a load of journalists (written and broadcast) think?
  16. I absolutely hate golf and this dull spectacle of an event, but I asked the same question. Surely it's a win-win for the USA as if they win, they beat a "number of countries combined", but if they lose, no big deal as it took the whole of Europe to beat them. I don't get it.
  17. Do be quiet you utter helmet.
  18. Also - does anyone else keep pronouncing Bertrand as in Francois Mitterand?? It's annoying me as I know he's bloody English but I default to being French
  19. This is it for me - I like Shaw, think he has MASSIVE potential, but we haven't missed him. Bertrand has been a great signing for us and also seems fairly level-headed and switched on, which isn't something Luke was blessed with. I do feel sorry for the lad at Man Utd though, although not at all surprised - just hope for his sake (and England's) he knuckles down and keeps improving. He obviously has the body shape that looks like he's overweight when he's not (like Rooney), so he'll need to work extra hard to stay lean. In my opinion.
  20. They're obviously working on it though - have had a questionnaire about hospitality and why I go/what would make it better etc etc. So I think it'll be relaunched soon.
  21. The full repertoire then!! (Although I personally don't like the car one, think that's a bit too much, but maybe I'm getting soft)
  22. So for those of us who couldn't make it, how did Harry's reception go?
  23. It's shameful. No excuse, but probably a silly little teenager trying to be "cool". The further away we get from the world wars, the less respect and more dishonest people seem to become. It's sad.
  24. What relationship? They don't think he's as much of a d*ck as we do?
