  1. I'm glad you managed to decipher my extremely poorly written post (in a rush between meetings)
  2. That's on it's way - have already seen another company demoing something along those lines.
  3. I actually think you may be close to the truth here!
  4. If you think about it though, our U21 squad no longer has the odd over 21 (Tadanari Lee, Lee Barnard, Guly, etc.) and as players have been moved on (Shaw, Chambers), the players that have stepped up to the 1st team (Targett etc) are now training with the 1st team and then we've got other out on loan. So actually our U21s is fairly depleted and is probably full of kids? I don't think it's important to win, but it is to get the lads playing as team - in a "tougher" age group is a good idea!
  5. Problem with the internet is that it is now littered with students writing their boring blogs or badly written "news" articles. They're boring, no idea who reads them, or who has time to read them. Maybe other students.
  6. Ah, a fellow Fleet resident!
  7. Well yes, he has to get fatter to fit in a bottom of the half table side.
  8. I believe we should have independence from London - I work in London, but it's like coming to a totally different country every day, it's nothing like the rest of the UK. The way people behave in every aspect, the news is so "London-centric" and the vast majority of Londoners I work with do not know where Hampshire is. I mean, seriously? I love this city, to visit and to a certain degree, work in, but it really is so unlike anywhere else. Southampton feels really slow and old-fashioned in comparison and as I said in an earlier message, only really Manchester is catching up, but even then that's nothing like this place. Anyway, my point is that this is I feel how our MPs think - massive London bias, thinking the rest of the UK is like London where they work.
  9. It is very very simple journalism and I honestly don't know how these guys get away with it. But he's stating the obvious and is right. 1. We sold at the right time for the best prices 2. We've got a good manager who can gel new players 3. The board shouldn't think it's always like this and we can't go on selling half our team every season So yes, he's right. But it's hardly rocket science.
  10. As they didn't play Sanchez yesterday, will they roll him out for this? That's a pretty big name and surely very inspiring for any fringe/youth players in their team?
  11. Agreed. Just wish Youtube had existed when I was playing, no scrub that, WRITING games in the mid/late 80s on my Spectrum
  12. Was thinking about this too. Pochettino inherited an eager squad of fairly young players, who'd played together a while and risen together, under a manager with hardly any ego or bravado in Adkins. I actually think he therefore inherited a really well-rounded bunch of lads/blokes. These lads, being receptive, took all his ideas on, ran with them and did rather bloody well. Inherit a bunch of blokes at a club that always had grander ambitions, never going to be the same result. Just my view anyway. Edit: Oh and added to this, that Pochettino turned most of these well-rounded lads into £ seeking mercenaries ...
  13. Sometimes you do crack me up, ART!
  14. It's definitely Chelsea's year, closely followed by Man City, with Man Utd and Arsenal ... the "normal" top four. I can't see Liverpool finishing as high as 5th if they don't change and get a bit of luck - it's also annoying we had them first as I'm pretty sure that we would turn them over now, but hey ho. We will be top 10 and if we have a bit of luck, keep free of key injuries (Tadic, Forster, Bertrand, Fonte etc.) then I don't see why we couldn't crack 6th. As I said, IF we get a bit of luck.
  15. Indeed, he enquired about the Swansea role!
  16. I think I first went to one in about 1998 or so - was good then, something really different. But since they've expanded, they seemed to have got that bland chain food taste - never bother anymore.
  17. What, 2nd in the league?? No thanks, we can do better ...
  18. To be fair to our favourite X Factor star, the phrase; "#itshappening butnotaswedexpected" is probably quite true - we didn't expect to have half a new team and new manager and be doing better ... right?
  19. He's a man you can admire in all areas, excellent stature, awesome hair too.
  20. I thought that too, looked a bit like his old Championship frame again as he'd obviously got even leaner under Pochettino to play at the best of his game. Shame for him
  21. Well done Matt on both tweets, very amusing! Proper "celeb" trolling.
  22. Love it, every time, almost as good as the season ticket holders picture that comes out.
  23. Again, agree with this! He's the next level, most definitely!
  24. This, exactly! Was never going to be an easy match, think that showed - but a perfect result was ground out. Fantastic start to the season!
