  1. Oh didn't see Gibbs was picked, well then yes, that is ridiculous.
  2. I think we've seen that Roy and his team will only pick players based on a sustained run of form and that once you're in the team, you're hard to drop, regardless of form. I imagine Ryan will be in the England squad some time in early 2015 though - although if Shaw and Baines carry on playing well it'll be hard, it's a position we're blessed in. Personally I'd keep Shaw in the U21s - in fact I would all our younger players, doesn't hurt other countries does it?
  3. They're Champions League, they're Champions League Saints Media Dept They're Champions League
  4. Get him signed up!
  5. As I said before, I fully agree with the notion that his group of Spurs players are just too far up their own backsides to want to listen to him and work harder. Under Nigel, we had a very well rounded group of blokes and young lads who got on, were down to earth (Nigel style) and wanted to learn, develop and push on up the leagues together. Pochettino inherited that lot and they generally all looked as if they lapped up the new instructions as we kept more clean sheets and looked a step on again. It's probably also why Pochettino likes the academy players so much, because they are younger and more willing to listen and try new things? At Spurs, he does not have a group of well rounded lads who have come on a journey together. He has a group of highly paid individuals who expected Champions League football. Although I really did think he'd get more from them than he has, especially Lamella.
  6. I read that too - hopefully he's either realised for himself or someone on his team who is sensible (Gary Neville perhaps?) has made this recommendation. We all love Rickie, but as England fans, it'll be ridiculous if he plays. Although we're not exactly blessed with quality strikers, especially with Sturridge out.
  7. I don't think there is any surprise in that though? The two teams all the fans wanted to beat (and maybe a couple of the players too), it was inevitable they'd be the teams we'd lose against ... There is no reason we can't win our home fixtures against the Manchester teams, on current form.
  8. Isn't that 5th favourites as Chelsea aren't even on that list?
  9. Ah superb, that's exactly what my Dad had when they first came out, same colour too - I remember it well!!
  10. "When I hear them sing Play Up Pompey at the start of the match, it makes my head tingle, I've always belonged there" Division 4, his f**king destiny.
  11. Needed a huge kick up the backside, but he is undoubtably quality and will be world class. Perfectly happy with £30m though.
  12. Best thing you've ever posted!

His beard had alluring powers though.
  15. Did you get bored in League 1 and the Championship when we were winning most of our matches? I certainly didn't!
  16. God he's a prat. Love that we are 11, yes, ELEVEN points ahead of them. That means we need to lose 4 and they need to win 4 to change positions ... Happy Christmas Saints
  17. I'm blaming you when I could have just read the date myself ...
  18. Great link then, thumbs up to the original post.
  19. Isn't that a rehash of exactly the same article that appeared in the Evening Standard last week by someone else??
  20. I guess the trouble is that most cars from the 80s and 90s are unbelievably ugly. I can't think of any I'd want as a "classic". I suppose the best I can think of would be a Jaguar XJS; http://www.autotrader.co.uk/used-cars/jaguar/xjs/used-jaguar-xjs-bilston-fpa-201411048739470?logcode=p Sierra Cosworth? (I vomited in my own mouth with that one though) Renault 5 turbo (are there ANY left?) A 1980s Saab 900 Turbo?? Dunno, it's a real void in my opinion for potential classics.
  21. lol @ Lovren joining a Champions League club and not playing at one of the biggest clubs in the world tonight, prat.
  22. You really know how to p*ss on a bonfire I'll go back to my cupboard.
