I'd be happy if Saints paid Liverpool their money back for him ...
-
Agree with Pap, I'd still have Rickie back in a heartbeat - especially with an impending suspension for Pelle coming up ... but I digress, that really was excellent and I too had to man up and pretend my eyes weren't going damp.
-
Agreed! Not to mention beating Swansea and Arsenal away (okay that was in the cup, but how many other teams go there and win?)
-
Ah good point, yes, I'm just used to my office view of working where asking for overtime would be laughed at
-
What's overtime anyway? Does anyone actually receive that? My contract is for 35 hours a week (which is actually quite low in my opinion) and I get 30 days holiday with the option to buy or sell up to 5 days. I don't think I've done a 35 hour week yet - I just do what's required of me to get the job done.

Malmaison, Glasgow; https://www.malmaison.com/locations/glasgow/ Only a couple of miles from Celtic Park too.

Turn that away draw with Liverpool to a win and drawn one more would have done. Damn it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1983%E2%80%9384_Football_League And we lost twice to Notts County!!
-
It's all very subjective though. If he had been to Liverpool vs Man Utd, that would be a better atmosphere than what we've experienced up there in recent times. Anyway, who cares - we do sometimes have a sh*t atmosphere, all grounds do. Personally I'm not a fan of the dull drone that Palace create, but each to their own.

I'm not being defeatist at all, I'm very much an optimist in life. Just that we're Saints, we lose 7-1 at Everton once a season ... seriously, it's fantastic at the moment and we're all enjoying it, but assuming Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea finish above us (in that reverse order), then if we finish 4th, we're ahead of Man Utd and Liverpool. Not saying we can't, but it would be incredible.
-
I thought that was a good segment on us - Although personally, I don't want to be "talked about as finishing in the top 4" - I just want to enjoy it while it lasts. I think most of us would still think that top 4 is just not something we can do. Plus also it shows there is more focus on finishing in the top 4 instead of winning a cup? Winning a cup would be more realistic, or at the very least a cup final appearance.

To be fair, you just came over that you had a personal vendetta against him and/or were close to Adkins so were p*ssed off? I may be wrong though!
-
Agreed! Also, had to chuckle at Neil Ashton ending with "the meltdown continues"
-
Surely when we inevitably lose Pelle to a suspension, we'd stick Long up the top? Or even Mayuka who is doing enough to make the bench. Shame Gallagher isn't fit, but maybe that is one area we will strengthen in Jan?

Enjoyed the "staying up" season we had with him and he came across as a decent bloke! So a bit harsh, Mr Lowe.

Likewise. C*nt. (Him, not you)

It feels weird watching Saints manage to pull off these really hard fought wins, 2x Stoke and against Hull today - they are all matches we would have lost by the reverse score a few years ago. The difference is that I really do think the coaching staff are flipping brilliant and able to react and make the right changes at the right times. If we keep winning against these sides, in matches we WOULD have lost before, then we can afford to get a draw or even lose against the "top sides". But f**k that, I honestly feel we could turn most teams over now and if the players feel that, coupled with excellent tactical awareness ... what a season this could be. I hope I don't regret typing this in May but, this feels special this year, much much more so than last year where we inevitably got undone by a shallow squad, worse tactics and players with their heads in Liver-f**king-pool ... Plus, we're Saints, we lose 7-1 at Everton or Spurs once a season. We don't dish out 8-0 thrashings and grind out 1-0s with an outrageous number of clean sheets ........

Do be quiet.

Computer says nooooo zzzzzzzz

It is a ridiculous rule, if the player wants to celebrate with the fans near the front, he should. But no, let's clamp down on spontaneous celebrations and be really f**king boring.

I was about to jump all over your post, like a fat-tongued tw*t when I saw "same team as Stoke" and rant about Bertrand and the other defender (can't even be ar$ed to spell his name). But then I saw "at home" and thought that yes, I agree with you. So I agree.

The Johnson's Paint Trophy, we won it one time ...
