  1. 2/3 of the possession ... and toothless in attack.
  2. We should. As I said yesterday, we should destroy their slow centre backs and slow/injured midfield. BUT ... I remember having that feeling last time that lot came to St Marys. Just feel uneasy about this ...
  3. Chambers for the fee we received, definitely. Lovren, Lallana and Shaw, no, not for those fees. Lambert, for £4m, yes! While Jay and Sam G are out - we do need more back-up and I also believe he's one of those good, positive characters to have around the club.
  4. Nah we'll get Mane and/or Long to run and run and run at Ferdinand and Caulker, neither of whom are fast, we'll run them into the ground and out pass their statue-like midfield.
  5. He does, based on the only match I've ever seen the guy play, he could be very very good indeed!
  6. Could have been 2-4 as well - great stop by Forster but Tadic and Pelle both missing a treat each - we'll let them off
  7. 1 word - "yesssssssssssss" Okay some more, that was f**king awesome. We have some players, wow! Love the Koeman revolution so far! He plays on the left He plays on the right Sadio Mane Makes Jonno Forte look slow

  9. Not unless we recall him form loan
  10. *groan*
  11. Although to be fair, he's coming over like a bit of a tit at the moment.
  12. I'm glad you managed to decipher my extremely poorly written post (in a rush between meetings)
  13. That's on it's way - have already seen another company demoing something along those lines.
  14. I actually think you may be close to the truth here!
  15. If you think about it though, our U21 squad no longer has the odd over 21 (Tadanari Lee, Lee Barnard, Guly, etc.) and as players have been moved on (Shaw, Chambers), the players that have stepped up to the 1st team (Targett etc) are now training with the 1st team and then we've got other out on loan. So actually our U21s is fairly depleted and is probably full of kids? I don't think it's important to win, but it is to get the lads playing as team - in a "tougher" age group is a good idea!
  16. Problem with the internet is that it is now littered with students writing their boring blogs or badly written "news" articles. They're boring, no idea who reads them, or who has time to read them. Maybe other students.
  17. Ah, a fellow Fleet resident!
  18. Well yes, he has to get fatter to fit in a bottom of the half table side.
  19. I believe we should have independence from London - I work in London, but it's like coming to a totally different country every day, it's nothing like the rest of the UK. The way people behave in every aspect, the news is so "London-centric" and the vast majority of Londoners I work with do not know where Hampshire is. I mean, seriously? I love this city, to visit and to a certain degree, work in, but it really is so unlike anywhere else. Southampton feels really slow and old-fashioned in comparison and as I said in an earlier message, only really Manchester is catching up, but even then that's nothing like this place. Anyway, my point is that this is I feel how our MPs think - massive London bias, thinking the rest of the UK is like London where they work.
  20. It is very very simple journalism and I honestly don't know how these guys get away with it. But he's stating the obvious and is right. 1. We sold at the right time for the best prices 2. We've got a good manager who can gel new players 3. The board shouldn't think it's always like this and we can't go on selling half our team every season So yes, he's right. But it's hardly rocket science.
  21. As they didn't play Sanchez yesterday, will they roll him out for this? That's a pretty big name and surely very inspiring for any fringe/youth players in their team?
  22. Agreed. Just wish Youtube had existed when I was playing, no scrub that, WRITING games in the mid/late 80s on my Spectrum
  23. Was thinking about this too. Pochettino inherited an eager squad of fairly young players, who'd played together a while and risen together, under a manager with hardly any ego or bravado in Adkins. I actually think he therefore inherited a really well-rounded bunch of lads/blokes. These lads, being receptive, took all his ideas on, ran with them and did rather bloody well. Inherit a bunch of blokes at a club that always had grander ambitions, never going to be the same result. Just my view anyway. Edit: Oh and added to this, that Pochettino turned most of these well-rounded lads into £ seeking mercenaries ...
  24. Sometimes you do crack me up, ART!
