Couldn't feel more 'meh' if I tried. A very nice signing, but with Fonte going it was obvious we needed 2 centre backs.

No centre back (or two) is a disgraceful f**k up of this transfer window. They KNEW Fonte wanted to go, why has someone not been lined up already? We should already have the c**t in place, training with the team. We'll sell Van Dijk in the summer, so ideally we should have TWO of the c**ts lined up. Useless.

But it's not stupidity, it's driven by the "sky money". Had the extra money not suddenly been made available, player prices wouldn't be as high as they are. It was inevitable wasn't it? Loads more money pouring into clubs = loads more money being demanded for average players. Saints really do need to wake up and realise that average players are no longer cheap and there are no bargains. For once in this current Saints management's tenure, they need to f**king spend.
