  1. I think it's been on the decline since our first season back. It suddenly got worse last year as we immediately lost some of our songs once the players left (Lambert, Lallana, Shaw) and seem slow to create new ones until the tune has been heard/seen on Youtube being sung by Man Utd fans in a pub.
  2. It's the internet, it's no surprise unfortunately. People say "you wouldn't say that if you were talking in the pub", they're right. What you'd say is "I disagree, you're boring me now, I'm getting another drink" and then come back and talk about something else.
  3. Almost certainly related to muscle weakness from his previous injury, i.e. he didn't have time to build up his muscle to the same level as it was before and it's had a knock-on effect to another part of that leg. These injuries are often tied together (according to a Physio I know).
  4. Utter trash TV - horrendous programs that are extremely unfunny. You have to wonder who is watching them (and finding them funny)?c Agree on Gervais too, he's become an up his own backside, bore.
  5. I was going to post something similar. As we get better at treating illness with new borns (and their mothers), illnesses in the 3rd world, newer killer illnesses (i.e. Aids etc.) and looking after our old people, the population of the world gets bigger and bigger and bigger. The food chain is getting more fragile as we build on more green space (harming bees/insects, birds and upwards) and as we over fish the seas to feed more mouths. It's not sustainable, so I view this as natures way of evolving and going "hey, humans, this planet isn't just for you and there's too many of you", just as we'd sprinkle ant powder in the garden ... Okay that's fairly extreme, but I do believe it's just natures way.
  6. "this" By far the worst Football related book - Matt Le Tiss' autobiography. Very badly written, which is a shame given how Matt is so erudite, I'd have expected him to want more. The best - Red, Gary Neville. Brilliant book.
  7. Are you losing the plot? Sorry to sound rude, but 95% felt loyalty to Britain and 93% follow British laws. So, put it another way. 5% live here and don't like Britain. 7% live here and don't want to obey the laws of the land. Well, that's a huge percentage that want to be lawless, that's a lot of people. We have a problem.
  8. Not my area of knowledge - I was just referring to the countries in modern times and the areas of land IS have 'taken'.
  9. We have to go in, hard and properly - now is the time. We're not talking the Iraq war or anything like that - this should be a proper concerted effort, land, sea, air - take the whole region and return it back to its original state. I think VFTT already said this and I agree - this needs to be stamped out now. We may well get the odd disgruntled nutjob still, but at least there won't be a whole region radicalising people that would probably lead more normal lives. Let's face it, I suspect many people going there are bored, jobless or just weird and if that region didn't exist they'd have nowhere to go. More likely than not, they'd probably normally just get on with life. So yes, I advocate going in properly. Just my view as one person on the internet though.
  10. Excellent post, Verbal; really enjoyed reading that short explanation, thank you.
  11. Got to love this forum. Totally over-analysing everything as usual. FFS, just enjoy the football!
  12. Exactly this. IF we were in Europe and playing more games, then we might get away with having two very good goalkeepers in the squad next season. But, if, but, if.
  13. In one short sentence, you've summed up why I love reading these forums [and why the manager has the job he does]
  14. Could be interesting. For me, Leeds are the dictionary definition of a "sleeping giant". By far the biggest traditional club outside the Premier League and despite an old ground, it's one they'll fill with a decent income. So yes this could be very interesting to see if he does buy them (or get some other rich person to buy them again) and what happens there.
  15. Putting my biased opinions aside, this is absolutely the correct statement and viewpoint on this forum.
  16. Totally, good memories, great day out that was!
  17. He's very good. Have been impressed with him and Classie. We have the makings of a very nice team here. The only downside was Wanyama's stupid tackle, but everyone does something needless once in a while and let's face it, he may have stopped a goal and he's only going to miss Sunderland.
  18. This! Great match. Not a great second half to watch as a fan, but we did what we needed to do; soaked up the inevitable pressure post half-time bollocking and didn't let them score without wasting too much energy in scoring more goals. Job done.
  19. Boring 0-0 by half time. Scrappy 1-0 at full time. Bound to be now.
  20. He comes across as a bitter and twisted individual and I'm glad he didn't come to us at 16 with his billy big b*llocks attitude. He "chose" Man City rather than Man Utd because they'd brought through Micah Richards and Shaun Wright-Phillips. While Man Utd have brought absolutely no players through their youth system have they? More likely they didn't want him then.
  21. I know Crabby, I would have voted for you too
  22. That he is, like the Terrier like nature of his closing down, plus the right pass at the right time, so far.
