I do actually agree with this. My observation is that initially, I thought he was protectin the players in public and bollocking them behind closed doors, but I'm not so sure as I don't recall a time (and please do correct me if I'm wrong), where I've seen the team come out with a proper rocket up their backsides after half time. Still, as I said, we'll go on a 10 match unbeaten run soon and everyone will love Ron again
-
Exactly - they are no mugs. I was surprised it wasn't more - they have some very good attacking players which most teams in the league would love.
-
No, he hasn't "lost it". We're just going through a poor patch, as all teams do, every season. We'll no doubt go on a 10 match unbeaten run next and everyone will start up with the "Koeman is a genius, sign him up longer" posts again. It's football. There are highs and lows, every season, for every team. FFS.

I want us to sign some English players. I liked the English core that we had before and I know we sold a load for good money, there are still out there that would be good signings. So, Austin for me please, a proven goal scorer, he'll do nicely.

This country is far too soft. Lee Rigby, a father, a husband and a son was brutally murdered by this low-life piece of diarrhoea. Why are we wasting tax-payers time and money even entertaining this? He should be told to f**k off and shoved back out to 'play' with the other boys. It disgusts me. I bet that Lee Rigby's poor family wouldn't be entitled to the amount of money being thrown at this vermin; not that it'd bring him back, but it'd surely help them out as a family for the future.

It wasn't as bad as most of you make out. Their goal was a poor piece of marking, granted, but we were creating opportunities. On another day, we could have had 3 or 4. My two complaints are simply; 1. Move Mane to the middle (I think he's be more dangerous there) 2. Drop Wanyama (He's too slow, doesn't look overly interested and certainly is nowhere near the player that he looked alongside Morgan)

WHERE IS HARRY REED? FFS!!
-
Oh come on, there were some terrible decisions last night, by all of the officials.
-
Brendan Rodgers.

Conversely, with performances like that, who will pay the £ that Saints will demand? He'll be going nowhere. If he genuinely wants a move, I don't understand how they're so thick as to not realise that playing the football of their life will open up more doors and more £ for them and the club. Morgan is a good example of that - gave us a very good last season and got a well earned move to the biggest club in the world (still). Several players just looked lost last night, there is a serious lack of morale at play I think.

Please name the player we should have signed to replace Morgan

Exactly. I seem to recall a lot of people giving him grief in early days! -
Agree with the ref / linesman bit, they definitely had it far too easy and we seemed hesitant to let them know how sh*t they were.
-
To be fair, I was laughing. Then it all went to sh*t. What do people expect at a football match?? Polite clapping and a choir? Christ.

We'll destroy Villa.
-
Well, tbf we did collapse immediately after the Lovren "c**t" song ...
-
What? He looked f**king livid. You can protect your staff and team on camera, but he does have the look of a very p*ssed off manager. I expect we'll destroy Villa now.
-
Great optimism, let's hope that is the case! Would love a cup final. Cup final and top 10 finish would be great.
-
I think it's been on the decline since our first season back. It suddenly got worse last year as we immediately lost some of our songs once the players left (Lambert, Lallana, Shaw) and seem slow to create new ones until the tune has been heard/seen on Youtube being sung by Man Utd fans in a pub.

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
Patrick Bateman replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
It's the internet, it's no surprise unfortunately. People say "you wouldn't say that if you were talking in the pub", they're right. What you'd say is "I disagree, you're boring me now, I'm getting another drink" and then come back and talk about something else. -
Jay Rodriguez needs surgery on his foot
Patrick Bateman replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Almost certainly related to muscle weakness from his previous injury, i.e. he didn't have time to build up his muscle to the same level as it was before and it's had a knock-on effect to another part of that leg. These injuries are often tied together (according to a Physio I know). -
Utter trash TV - horrendous programs that are extremely unfunny. You have to wonder who is watching them (and finding them funny)?c Agree on Gervais too, he's become an up his own backside, bore.

Antibiotic resistance: World on cusp of 'post-antibiotic era'
Patrick Bateman replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Lounge
I was going to post something similar. As we get better at treating illness with new borns (and their mothers), illnesses in the 3rd world, newer killer illnesses (i.e. Aids etc.) and looking after our old people, the population of the world gets bigger and bigger and bigger. The food chain is getting more fragile as we build on more green space (harming bees/insects, birds and upwards) and as we over fish the seas to feed more mouths. It's not sustainable, so I view this as natures way of evolving and going "hey, humans, this planet isn't just for you and there's too many of you", just as we'd sprinkle ant powder in the garden ... Okay that's fairly extreme, but I do believe it's just natures way.
