  1. I know, but it's just that some people think that the club deliberately didn't sign the best player they thought. They signed Cedric, who many people on here thought was an exciting signing. The manager and team are obviously less convinced now, but hindsight is wonderful, that doesn't mean they didn't sign the best that they could/thought. I simply asked who else people would have signed and have had no suggestions - I'll make one, Trippier. But funny that he ended up at Spurs early in the window, a player they didn't really need ...
  2. But everyone on this forum is so much better qualified than those in the club ... we keep being told that.
  3. So you're *****ing and moaning without substance. God I hate these forums. You said "We really should expect to have signed proven quality for these positions, especially with the money we've made recently." Suggesting that you think the club did a bad job and you could do better. If you can't do better with a suggestion, then why made such a stupid statement? Do you think the club went "oh we know, let's sign this guy who isn't the best we can get, he'll have a sh*t future and be terrible, we should buy him and ignore someone better"? FFS.
  4. Name an alternative (of 'proven quality') you would have signed? It's not a difficult question.
  5. Name "proven quality" we could have signed to replace Morgan and Clyne? One of the best DMs and the best RB in this league. Who else would you have signed?
  6. Oxford Utd are beating the fishy ones
  7. Can you imagine? Good grief, that is pretty scary.
  8. Exactly, what the f**k is that all about? 'match day 6' ... FFS.
  9. "Racism in Russia is like fashion. It comes from abroad, from different countries," he said. "It was never, ever here before. Ten years ago, some fans may have given a banana to black guys - it was just for fun. Does he really not get the irony with the first line? As for the second line, yes, in 1970s/80s England, many fans also 'gave' bananas to black guys, it was 'hilarious' then too. What an utter bellend.
  10. Now he is a helmet of the biggest variety - how he's even anywhere near the frontline of US politics and potentially running for Presidency is scary. I know, money money money, but still. Mind you, the alternatives aren't that great either ...
  11. Give it a rest, James. Go to bed and dream about how you're not a fat t**ser that people can't stand watching.
  12. Couldn't agree more. You could also sense that Koeman was getting p*ssed off answering questions about Depay; I think there were three questions. We don't give a monkeys.
  13. I imagine that cup side will have Caulker, Juanmi and Martina starting. Potentially Long and Reed I'd have thought. With a bench of U21s. I hope anyway.
  14. It was like watching someone's Grandad go back to work after some time out and look completely lost.
  15. Gutted for Luke - he was lining himself up to have a very good season based on early performances and also a certainty for Euro 2016. Wouldn't wish it on any player and as one of our best Academy graduates, wish him an extra speedy recovery.
  16. I don't get the obsession with other teams. Toby went to Spurs, oh well, his choice. A lot of internet types are becoming really obsessive now, it's a bit weird.
  17. Then it's a good job you're not in charge of recruitment ... !
  18. 100% agree - why shouldn't we be consistent. I see no reason why Erwin can't carry the job on, unless he also wants to be assistant to Ron at the next role.
  19. Must admit, I find England matches very very boring to watch - haven't bothered watching the last two, glad I didn't by the looks of things. Shame really
  20. Would agree with this. If Berahino plays, I'll be stunned. Likewise, coming round to the idea that Lambert, bless him, is no longer a Premier League player. There's an element of being f**ked up by Liverpool/Brendan, but I think we saw him at his peak and it makes me sad to see him play now.
  21. Controversially (for a Saints fan), I think it's quite a good symbol for a port and just high enough to have a decent view. Would have loved them to build something like that in Southampton to welcome the cruise liners in.
  22. Because it's this forum and only this forum knows the truth, silly boy.
  23. I wonder if he has a funny nickname for you, too?
  24. Isn't it obvious? It was his billy big b*llocks, "look at how much I can spend on one player regardless of how they'll fit the system" approach.
