Agree, I actually can't see the U21 teams getting past the 'groups' if they're still doing that. L2 and a lot of L1 still have some traditional cloggers in their teams who'll just kick the sh*t out of the kids who will then be too afraid to get stuck in. And also agree that no one from a proper club (i.e. Colchester in your example) is going to take the trip down to St Marys to see our U21s play their first team. In fact, some clubs may not bother with a first team and play their own reserves ... ? Most people just won't be able to justify the extra expense for this travel.

It's all so expensive and ridiculous. I've downgraded my Virgin Media package from XL, to L, to M - I don't care about the extra channels of rubbish and if I want to watch sports, I'll either go and watch in person or find another way. If you *really* want to watch a match and pay, Now TV is great, you can subscribe to Sky Sports for £6.99 for 24 hours - perfect for a couple of times a year.

What annoys me more about this is the need to bring colour into the news. The policeman shot the guy for no reason - he said so himself. There is no mention of colour at all. "Why did you shoot me?" "I don't know" Absolutely no need for the news article to mention colour at all, completely unnecessary - you can see the guy is black. All the headline does is stir up the wrong kind of emotions which is part of the problem. Edit: Apologies, I quoted the wrong one - I was referencing the Independent news article.

As one example ... rest of the world (bar Muslim countries and Russia) - You can be gay, you can change sex, you can be who and what you like, it's your choice. Saying it's bigoted is too light. 400 years ago, we were ducking people in the river for being witches, we (in the west) were burning people for not being 'normal'. Slightly longer ago we still believed the Earth was flat and revered the make believe thing in the sky who made it all (FFS), then, we grew up and realised it's a load of old codswallop. That section of the world are still several hundred years out of date and massively intolerant. Anyone who says that isn't a problem when presented side by side with modern, western culture is utterly, f**king deluded. The two don't currently mix.

From my point of view, Fonte was already very much loved and respected by Saints fans anyway - the Euros cemented this. Awesome player for the club and a great captain. Cedric still has a lot to prove, I like him as a player and I'm hoping the great Euros for him will make him an awesome player for us next year. Just my view anyway.
