That's a good point Graffito. He does put effort in, even tackling back, but apart from a couple of moments of brilliance and moments when he has got the crowd going the end result over two years has been poor. I'd like him to fully clear the air with Hughes and the club, and have a fresh start in a team not drained of confidence, and without a spirit-sapping manager like MP.

LOL. Hair's a bit receding though..

Of course, we wouldn't expect you to. It's a nagging question, and I'm sure you'd like to know too. Keep criss-crossing those paths. ;-)

More humour in some of the reactions, to be honest. At least there was support from that long term parody account, Batman.

In all of this debate where does Carillo fit in? A panic buy for sure, but who instigated and who had the ultimate approval. Did Reed push for it (if so why!?) or was he overruled. What was the involvement of the manager and the dynamic between the two? Perhaps Landford saint et al. can canvass the opinions of those closer to the club than us grunt fans?

More opinionated idiots, does this forum really need that? I'm teaching an online English lesson this evening and what came to mind reading this thread was some more work on collocations and reinforcing adjectives: sometimes there's a choice and we have personal preferences. "Utter w*nker" and "Absolute w*nker" were the two that came to mind. Do any of you use alternatives?

I see Pied has been released. -
So is Ekon Okereke a Kenyan name? Looks Nigerian to me.. Edit : Snap

Perhaps he's a melting snowflake?

"the Stephens/Cedric Corridor of Uncertainty" - I'm pinching that! :-)

A fair summary of how I feel. So down the pub to watch the Swansea game I had rather too many pints: for England games I sip at best!

I notice we have quite a number of under-18s signing: Klarer, Kornelius Hansen, Enzo Robise, Simon Kozak (sorry about the absence of diacritics!), so let's hope we can replicate the success of Schneiderlin. In the meantime I just remain thankful that so far the owner doesn't seem to intervene too much: could be worse with someone like the Venky's. Dildo Brothers, Moshiri and the like. High profile owners at below the top level don't have a good reputation - actually, I wouldn't want a dodgy Russian magnate either..

I was looking at my budget the other day. Due to the substantial cost of an ST it has its own line on my spreadsheet. I have "Entertainment - Season Ticket" and "Entertainment - Other". I think I shall rename the former...

Why is our Academy not producing Premier League Players
suewhistle replied to John B's topic in The Saints
You wouldn't do that now, would you Trousers? Incidentally, and a propos of nothing, why do some people develop these internet personas? With some (MLG?) WYSIWYG, but others I tend to put up with them because it's obviously cheaper than paying for their mental health therapy. -
Factless Allen, how can you forget him, his moon face and appalling writing?

Relegated Teams - Players who would you buy from their Squads?

Also, many of them are quite sensible posts, leaving aside this thread. I reckon _I'd_ be a better CB than Timmy Mallett although I admit 90 minutes would be beyond me these days!

That was an amusing read. Although I thought we were gone I never completely gave up hope but forbore to express my opinions as it would have given another opportunity to the usual opinionated p**ts who are always so certain in their own opinions.

I'm going to wait for The9's input again. He's been a bit quiet!

So Boufal copped it because he thought Hughes was blaming him for the defeat when he didn't even get on. The article paints a slightly different picture to the story we've heard of refusing to warm up. But the fact that some other senior players wanted him to train with the U23s must mean other incidents or attitude problems - I can't see this the result of just one event.

I strolled back from the village pub under a star-lit night farting merrily as I went. Whether it was the numerous and nervously drunk pints of Pots or my lunch I cannot tell and care less. The barmaid also gave me a litre of slops for me slugs traps, so result all round! I swore in Italian when Gabbi scored, but fortunately nobody understood! The above poster is right though: he held the ball up well, which certainly wasn't happening in the first half. On to Sunday and being able to make a noise and get my stress out of my system. I'm too old for these great escapes, I really am.

Three pints and still not enough as a pre-med. When I get home I'm going to take an extra blood pressure tablet.

Cheriton ffs.

In the pub. Half way through pint of Charlton pots. I can't maintain this pace..
