3-0, Lambert first one. Please.
-
Brighton - never recovered from Jaidi deciding to try and raise his ageing leg to stop that cross rather than a simple header away. Midfield overrun. They played well to impress new jug eared manager. Davis in goal to increase hesitancy/stasis in gap between defence and keeper, which all managers now know about. They exploited this too. Still, AP's style - if it is his only one - is working ok, I'd say. Would still like to see new central defender and back up keeper or replacement for Bart.

I stuck some money on us winning 3-0 and 3-1. grrrrr!
-
Good work. Might be nice if the club did what they did for Channon recently and honour another ledge...
-
I like Bart and have changed my predictions to clean sheets as a result of KD's time on the sidelines. Cue 3-0 loss tomorrow...(my bet is 3-0 to us)

Chance of a signing before the loan window closes?
DT replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
that's a snailed-on penalty. -
I think we're establishing that no-one reads what you say. PS giving one player £5million might be a tad disruptive, no? Unless it was in Monopoly.
-
Oh come on, join the real world, purrrlease. I suspect it's more about the player's ambition than money, and also strongly doubt anyway whether we would offer him Prem wages. We'll see soon enough, I guess. Fulham would be my bet.

Theo's parents said they wanted him to stay too. Bye Adam.
-
Probs will appoint Grant. I expect he'll do better. It's Saints related because they are our rivals. Still want them to go down though.
-
The last time he was injured we got Wright in and tightened up no end. Hope we get a good loan in but more than happy with Bart. Maik Taylor please...

No, I don't think he is. There are a few of us now who actually dare to question the skills of a player most on here have wet dreams about. For me, as I have said ad infinitum, his hesitancy at the back causes a big problem with the back four, which is exploited by teams who just look at a few videos. It's like wicket keepers - the best ones you don't notice. It's the ones who do the Match of the Day saves and then **** up the easy ones you want to watch out for. For me, that's Davis. Could we lure Maik Taylor back? -
We need to sign Dowie again then.

That would help. Or throw the ball out. Or dominate his box/actually come off his line occassionally. -

new goalie please -
I had it down as 2-2, so was at least not suicidal until i saw my page and that it still had my old prediction on it of 0-2. Now I feel like I'm -10, as well as my club! Curses!

Brighton keeper was top notch too.
-
because he's not a very good goalkeeper.

I think it was pretty skilful the way Henry did that. Not sure anyone else could have been that quick. (half joking) Would much prefer to see France at the World Cup than Ireland. (quarter joking). Ps there's a hole in the above FIFA argument. Everyon knows that Ireland are everyone's favourite second team and have supporters all over the world, plus magnificent attendances at events like the World Cup. Why would FIFA want that not to be there? Makes no sense.

In other news, Afghanistan.
-
Contribution to racing bigger than his contribution to football. Discuss. No, I don't think so either.
-
They should replay that game. I had thought better of Henry. But hey, that dive for the pen by Michael Owen for 'our boys' was pretty bad too.
-
James not good enough. Trotman and Jaidi v slow (why didn't Jaidi header the cross for Brighton's first goal?) and Davis doesn't command the area between him and the defence well enough, for all his shot-stopping ability. He's one of those keepers who seems to like it when strikers have a shot. I don't think the defence will improve until he leaves. Did you notice how much we tightened up when we had Wright?

That's right, or a rubbish town in the north east. Oh.
