I agree, I think they look so cheap.... defo not a fan. I haven't bought a shirt for about 15 years, but I still like to see us wearing a nice kit And just to back up what many have already suggested, I can 100% confirm it us UA for us next year.

Very well put, this is exactly who we are and where we are as a club. Unless we ever have investment on a Man City/Chelsea level, then we should be delighted to fight to be the best of the rest (6th, 7th, 8th...) Sadly in the modern (Champions League) era of football, the chasm is just too big between them and us (and even Liverpool/Spurs). Gone are the days of a Norwich, Saints or Villa challenging for the title (before you say it, I know Leicester are ruining my point right now - but the vultures are circling already around Vardy & Mahrez!) Le Tissier made a point in his book that when we was on about £4,600 a week with Saints, he was getting offers of around £4,800 or £5,000 a week to move to Spurs/Chelsea, and that the gulf wasn't so big then in wage offers, so it was easy to turn down, and he openly admits that in the modern game he probably would have left. He would probably be being paid around £30-40k a week at Saints nowadays, but Man Utd could just come along and offer £150k a week.... a la Luke Shaw. Its always going to be that way now (unless we buck the trend one year and reach the CL or get huge investment), so finding those rough gems to polish each Jan/Summer is our best way to sustain a top half finish each year I feel (Mane, JRod, Clyne, etc) and we have done that very well over the last 5 years, better than 'the rest'.

I was told yesterday by a senior figure within the club that there was some 'news' coming this week and to watch this space (no indication of whether it would be positive or negative). I thought he was over-egging it when I heard the breaking Romeu signing news last night..... so 'maybe' there is/was some truth with this Fonte rumour?

I just wish the club would allow the giant Liebherr 'Forever a Saint' flag this Saturday as a tribute from the fans. I've seen a few tweets have been sent to the club regarding this, so maybe we could make it happen. #ThankYouMarkus

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 3-0 Vitesse Arnhem - Europa League R3
St Louis replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Thought I'd share this short vid of the Vitesse fans from last Thursday's match at St.Mary's. I thought the majority of them were superb, particularly given how the game went: Hope those going to the game tomorrow night have a great time and do us all proud! Gutted to not be out there, I enjoyed the jaunt to Bucharest back in 2003! (apologies I don't know how to embed the video into this thread, please feel free to do so if you know how) -
Well I'm only 30 miles down the road (not that way!) and ordered on the day they went on sale, and still no sign!
-
Thanks all! Glad I'm not alone....

Hi All, Sorry if this has been asked/answered elsewhere, but has anybody received their Membership Card yet? As myself and a few others I know haven't as of yet. I'm a little concerned as our Vitesse tickets say 'Smartcard Activation' on the invoice receipt, so I am assuming that this means our match tickets will be uploaded directly to the cards (which we don't yet have!) I have emailed the club 3 times now to ask this week, but as yet no answer....

Maybe there is some truth behind the Seattle Sounders tie-in rumours? Looks very close to their colours, and Ralph hinted in his interview this week that he fees we will grow further in the U.S. (But couldn't say anymore at this stage)

Victor Wanyama tells The Sun that Arsenal want to sign him
St Louis replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
100%? So if Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool put in a bid and a better contract offer, he will be saying 'No thanks'? Hmmmm.... -
You can add P*mpey losing to the mighty Morcambe to that list too!

The Long Overdue Pointless 2015/16 (Adidas) Kit Thread
St Louis replied to The9's topic in The Saints
They aren't.... Not sure this is really of interest or not, but I had a meeting with a couple of the clubs marketing department last week and they were telling me that they had just had the 'big reveal' of the kits internally last week and they had seen the Home, Away and Keeper kits in full.... and loved them! They wouldn't even give me an inkling on the design (stripes, sash, etc) and trust me I tried so hard to get it out of them! But all I can share is that the kit is signed off and all done, the consensus internally was a positive one, and the kit is now in production phase ready for the summer launch. -
Football really is a game of opinions... I think Steven Davis has been our best player over the last 10 games!

Sorry if already posted elsewhere, I did look but couldn't see it.... It's my first trip up to Anfield this weekend and I wondered if anyone could recommend the best pub/pubs for pre-match beers for away fans?
-
OK, sorry for the false alarm... Nothing to see here! RJ posted it this afternoon and it wasn't a shirt I recognised.
-
Sorry I don't know how to share images, so hope this link works. Am I right in thinking this is Radhi Jaidi in a new training shirt, and it doesn't look like an Adidas one to me! Or am I completely wrong and this is a current top? http://instagram.com/p/nvTVtdFaZa/

As much as I agree with you 100% and would love a return of this kit, I think next season will be too early for our (or Katrina's) thoughts to be heard. Through my job I work closely with the commercial departments of several clubs (not Saints admittedly) and the 3 clubs I work with all have their kits sorted for next season already!

Apologies if this has already been shared, but I couldnt see it. Nothing ground breaking here and a very short 'interview' but I thought it may be of interest to others... http://www.thegamemagazine.co.uk/meet-the-pro/meet-the-pro-adam-lallana.html Interesting to hear Lallana say that everyone has been much 'happier' since MP took over.

Great read, thanks! Everything seems to be going so well at the moment, long may this continue. Jeremy Wilson (the journalist of this article and ex-echo) is a Saints fan too, so hopefully the positive Saints coverage will continue

Cortese speaking at Leaders in Football conference (10th Oct) - Live Feed
St Louis replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
No problem, I work for a digital marketing agency. This event has many sub-summits: Leaders in Digital Sport, Leaders in Football, Leaders in Sponsorship, etc. So I'm here in a working capacity to learn and network -
Cortese speaking at Leaders in Football conference (10th Oct) - Live Feed
St Louis replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
He did. I recorded the whole thing, so ill try and upload it to YouTube later. On another note, I got to speak to Nigel Adkins in some detail last night. To sum up: - He misses being Saints manager - Loved every second of his time at the club - Said he understood the decision to change management (strange) and was really pleased to see us doing so well under MP. - Really pleased to have Billy Sharp at Reading as a top bloke and goal scorer, but he's picked up an injury straight away. - When I said 'Reading are a similar sized club to Saints', he said "I thought so too, but they are a lot smaller in every way" -

St Louis replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
That's me in the front row (looking like I have my head on Cortese's lap) After the talk as Cortese was walking off stage, Gianluca Vialli started following him down the corridor and was shouting "Nicola, Nicola". He was desperate to talk to him, it was very weird... maybe he wants to be front of the queue when NC makes the next change, when we reach the Champs League
