I didn’t even realise it was The FA Cup first round until I saw the results Saturday. You know your rivals are **** when they are out the cup before you even know it’s started.

Have these Chinese lot actually said anything about their intentions or plans for the club? It looks like they borrowed the money - it would be nice to know what they will do if we go down. We could easily end up like that shower of ****e down the road if the debt gets transferred to the club.

Think this is the main reason, Lowe fell into the same trap last time we were relegated - he thought he’d cracked it after a cup final and European qualification, thought we were better than we were. I even remember similar masturbatory newspaper articles and fans thinking we couldn’t go down. It was crystal clear to anyone with eyes that we had a serious goal-scoring problem last season, only a fool with blind faith in their black box and their “Southampton way” ignored the obvious. We are in serious trouble, the only hope we have is that in theory we should be able to get better, especially when we cash in on the Dutch **** and rebalance the squad.

I’d like to think there were better options out there but if i5 was a straight choice between what we have now and Koeman then yes.

I’m with Duckhunter on this. So someone touched someone’s knee 10 or so years ago - who gives a ****. All this red v blue stuff can **** off as well, Parliament has always been a magnet for nonces of any party, it’s not anything new.

Walcott would be a superb signing. I would flog VVD to anyone, even Liverpool, and invest in some decent attacking players.

Mildly concerning, the fact that we still have to play Man City, Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool - twice. IMO our position is probably no better than anyone except Palace at the moment.

The players are just not good enough. We are strong in areas but woefully short of options for the the attacking midfielders and don’t have a single striker suited to playing the lone role up front the way Pelle or Lambert did.

We’re only mid table because we’ve had the easiest run of fixtures in living memory, our true position is way lower.

Can’t see us getting a result without Lemina, he’s the last player you want injured.
