Yes, although your first part is open to debate which will see if the FL have the balls to say it's a penalty.

I thought this was an interesting story on what can be achieved when everyone pulls together at a football club. This season's best team in La Liga, and the best story for years, were Levante. Every Monday, the club's groundsman Raimón climbs the stands and, in order of the league table, raises the flags up the poles that run along the back of the stands. For the first time ever, this season he hoisted Levante's into first place. They held on there until week nine, when they were knocked off and written off. But Levante resisted their inevitable slide down the table and kept on competing, right to the end. So what? Well, this is the club that has spent a total of less than €500,000 on players in the last four years combined, whose sporting director says "players run away when they hear what we have to offer", who have the oldest defence in the history of the league and a team packed with cast-offs, has-beens and never-really-weres, Spanish football's Expendables. As if that was not enough, their main striker had joined on loan from Sevilla – where he had scored one goal in five years – and had a clause in his contract saying that he automatically had to return if he scored 18 goals this season, which he was never going to do. So when he got to 17 he suddenly picked up a mysterious "injury" that meant he missed the final, decisive games of the season. And still they made it into Europe for the first time ever. So what's the secret? The secret, says the club's doctor, is simple: "Beer and pizza."

I thought that was Facebook! -
I would be well chuff if we claimed thirteenth place this coming season.

Do you race them or just sit on them?

French Africa - Southampton after a slice

That's ok if not in the first team. I remember a Russian youth we had but when coming of age for a pro contract, it couldn't be offered as he wasn't eligible to play. -
Thanks for the report. Anything connected to Chainrai will obviously vote for the CVA. The taxman holds 5% and another 7.9m worth needs to join them to reject it, so very unlikely, unless the offer is incredibly small. The big unknown is CVA1 and who controls that.

Charles Tyrwhitt or Pink. As I haven't got myself a valet yet, Pink shirts are more of a pain to iron (more tailored).
-
But Chainrai is a secured creditor so will not have a say in the second vote (unsecured creditors only). But like the first, the administrator may get to vote for many if there is no response from them. Does anyone know the make up of the unsecured debt?
-
Yes, difficult to tell but would he have signed a new contract recently when you consider how much he was used last season?
-
I think he's going for players that are currently playing rather than a best XI over the decades.

It's difficult to gauge without the youngsters at least getting some first team action as to whether they can make the grade. Some will of course progress faster than others and it's always been a challenge of how they get the first team experience - loan, sub appearances or straight into the team. Also how long do you keep hold of them before they are ready. Complete different for transfers where the club should have done enough scouting of the player to see he has the footballing skills to contribute and enhance what the team already have. Only a question of whether he likes a change, the club and can get along with the other players.
-
That would suit him perfectly.

Blackpool, a good attacking side and Holloway is a good laugh.

You'll only have one free u11 ST per adult one. I was thinking about doing the same as you so could help you out for the odd game.

Been there, fantastic place. I would certainly move there given a chance.

Would you take 4th from bottom next season now?
Doctoroncall replied to doggface's topic in The Saints
Yep agree with this at the moment, don't expect relegation but there may be a scare along the way. -
I can see where you are coming from and this is where investment in the right people is paramount. Do we have the right staff to help produce and cultivate the next generation first teamers?
-
In five years time I'd like to see Saints finish in the top half, be able to challenge for a domestic cup and have half the team coming from the academy. dreaming it would be able to get to 5th place in the league on the back of a fantastic academy producing almost all of the team and a cup final appearance.

Email from the Club re Personal Details?

I would imagine it's part of their 'spring' cleaning of their records at the end of season, what with the new ticketing system and potentially higher season ticket sales and (maybe) membership to be offered they need to get details correct (and what better way than get us to enter them)!. -
I see an ongoing theme here: "Thomas Mayes Lewin was obsessive about quality...", I don't expect them to sell many!

Most are moving away from the cumbersome flash format. Hence Trouser's post. About time others caught up.

I don't think the focus on money is important, it's getting the right player that fits into the team and better than we have got. So what if it's a new record signing or a lower league player - if they have shown the right attributes they would be worth more than the sake of signing an expensive player because we have the money.

The bit in bold is the key to succeed in the premeirship. We know Morgan and Adam are good passers of the ball, it's all about moving the ball around and being able to have players that create a bit of space to be used - static players are easy to defend against.
