  1. ****, **** and poor!
  2. Wasn't there a poll at the start of the season?
  3. Nothing that a bottle of gin could fix right now ;-)
  4. Good luck Moff. How are Hoffman and Elliot rated by the fans?
  5. If Chainrai is the only option left, then much will depend on the make up of unsecured creditors to approve the CVA. Do we know what that is?
  6. That's the worrying thing, his shows and acts are popular!
  7. Wasn't there an April payment for this... it's a bit of a mystery this black hole of PFCs finances!
  8. Felt dirty saying Brighton are a good side when they were due to play West Ham and look where that got us... so not doing it this time!
  9. With an annual wage bill of £21m, they need to off-load as many players as possible even if it's offering the likes of Kitson on a free. Only a few players are good enough to get a fee, even then teams rarely buy early to incur the June salary. It's a long long shot and we'll see if Chanrai thinks he can get more as a club than a liquidated asset. Also I think the next PP is August (not 100% sure) and would be around £4m, but of course there are some football related bills to pay.
  10. and it will not be long before they are out!
  11. It's a question of whether the other components of NCs plan is a success. If that does not happen, is there any point of expansion just for an extra 3,000 or so. I just cannot see a reason for expansion to 45-50k if nothing else changes.
  12. Boll0cks, haven't got sky so it'll be merry Merrington on Saints Player after flying back from San Francisco!
  13. Surely this is only one piece of the strategy that NC has considered and is dependent on the others. It will only happen if, firstly the success on the pitch is there, the southampton style is seen, and the player development continues to improve (shaw, ward-prowse, sinclair etc). Give the fans something good to watch, home grown talent, perhaps a few stars and even a bit of success and they will come, otherwise it'll be like before a mid ranking club selling out a 32k stadium on most matches.
  14. Depends on you risk profile and what other investments you have. There are some decent capital guarantee bonds out there for 4yrs or select a decent investment management company (e.g. jupiter) to help with the potential growth. Otherwise you may want to dabble yourself if willing to do a bit of research.
  15. Gordon Watson (if you count England u21 matches) ;-)
  16. In the style of Trousers: Manager bigging up his own team shocker!
  17. It was close between you and number 2... but you got my vote. Congrats btw and hope it goes well.
  18. What's Boro's home record like against the top ten?
  19. please sir, spare a thought for Portsmouth... http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2012/apr/17/portsmouth-port-vale-points-deduction
  20. Time for some quick wingers and some counter-attacking play, if Cardiff and Blackpool don't win Middlesborough will have to go for it!
  21. A well organised team, good clinical finishing of the chances they have in the game (oppo had more shots again tonight) with a decent young manager. Hopefully we'll be with them next season.
  22. I'm at work in South San Francisco, so will rely on the forum for updates unless I can somehow get Saints Player to work in the office (may get a visit from the IT folks though)! COYRs!!!!
  23. Ditto from sunny california, wish I was there at London Road though.
