fecking feed I am watching has just ruined my nigght with the highlights from the Tranmere Rovers 4-3 FA cup game. Baastards! -
This is the 1% of me that thinks maybe its a con? If your going to try and stitch someone up to get a bit of money then your not going to choose someone famous that has a whiter than white record so choosing MK should already add weight to your cause. I still think he is guilty by the way but just have a small question mark over the whole thing. Going back to the point with psycrow A registered Sex offender is still a registered sex offender no matter what level the offence. MK's actions that will earn him that title seem to be a little more than some stupid harrasment (not the punch in the face mind) but he will be known as a Sex offender all the same. Working at a football club there will un-doubtedly be women working there and also have a fan base including many women and children. Can you imagine SFC wheeling out a player on the sex offenders list to open a new class room at a local school? What we dont know is if there is anything in the contract of players or any code of conduct for the club that prevents contracting anyone on the list. I doubt there is but then in this day and age I doubt there needs to be as public perception is very important and there cant be many clubs that would want to be seen supporting anyone that has gone down that road. Its a bit different supporting someone who has not been found guilty to one that has. I suppose that IMO it doesnt matter what the offence is or the punishment served, If the person wants to get his or her life back on track in what ever proffession they will have to go above and beyond to prove to society that they deserve a chance to rebuild there chosen career.

There are many conditions which could be met that would lead to different levels of losing the job though. If a Doc gets into a punch up on a night out then the likly punishment will be some embarresment at the surgery from fellow workers and instruction from the boss to make a cover story up about getting a black eye while playing rugby. However, if a Doc punches a woman in the face on a night out, drunk or not, I would guess that Doc wouldnt have his job for too long and would need to find another surgery to work at and would probably struggle to find one if the incodent was made public. To add to that MK can add a sexual assult charge which will put him on the sex offenders register for how ever long. Im pretty sure that would be enough to ruin any chance of working as a Doctor or in most professions. Most jobs have a degree of working with the public and as such, employing someone on the sex offenders register would not be tolerated. Allot of places do a police check to make sure they are not hireing anyone that could put there cutomers at risk. So if its OK to stike off a doctor for a similar offence so they could never work in medicine again, should it be OK to do the same to footballers in the same situation?

Yeah think there was some confusion in who did what. Robertson used his ipod and it was a massive mistake, Im sure many of us have done the same many times without the horific concquences Robertson did. He is getting punished for it and im sure he will get another chance when the time comes. Doubt many will argue against either. McCormick was drink driving which in this day and age cant really be excused by anything and when he wants another chance I would guess he will have had to jump through so many hoops to earn it he may as well take a job in a circus. The no insurance thing that I think went along with that case IMO is pretty low key. I pay my insurance because if I did have an accedent of any kind I couldnt afford to pay for the damage. If I was loaded and being charged exessivly because of having a more public and known proffession I may think its probably cheaper to pay for things if and when they happen rather than over pay for just in cases. Not saying its right but I can understand the uper limits of money and profile taking this course. No-one thinks that they are going to have an accedent with such tragic conciquences and everyone believes it will happen to someone else and not them. Im still not sure about King, 99% of me thinks that the right outcome has happened and he is a lieing git and im glad his celebraty status has not bailed him out. But there is still 1% that thinks maybe his celebraty status has got him noticed and someone is trying to make a bit of cash out of it. Easy target and all that. As for the OP I think it would be better for the club all round if they didnt bother with looking into signing anyone that has a track record for getting into bother of any kind. If we want to do things the right way we need to do it with the right people. It would take allot to convince me that someone who was once always found at the root of the trouble has now turned a corner and is worth backing to besomeone who can lead by example in doing the right thing.

lol when will he learn? To be fair a couple of his sending off's for us have been for the sake of the team. but others have been out of stupidity and he really should start learning his lessons.

Before I moved away I was never into football cause I cant run for the bus so running round a patch of grass was never going to happen. as such i never followed any team really. I went to a couple of matches with me mates but it never really took hold of me so carried on skating and doing other stuff. As soon as I moved away I got more interested and used to wait for the 5pm scores to come in. watching the vidi printer hoping to see saints with a win. the more the internet and tv got better the more i got into saints and now I will get to any game I can and think im pretty clued up on all things saints. That said, soon after moving away I found myself looking out of all hampshire area clubs and was pleased to see any of them doing well as it represented my home county Hampshire. My view changed with Poopy as soon as they started to do very well. It was always fun to have the banter but now I find myself wanting them to lose and drop out of existance. I once had the pleasure in working at BAE in Poopy and I took great delight in wearing my saints shirt on the last day. Most of the people had already seen my saints desktop wallpaper and decided if they were going to give me the time of day or not but the security guard on the gate had no idea. Everyday he smiled and said hello as we arrived and left. The last day as I was leaving he raised his hand as he raised the gate, saw my saints shirt and turned his back on me. lol I dont hate them and I dont want thier team to fold completly. But I do want them to do so bad that they cling on with their finger tips and are always below us. That will do fine for me. Leave the hating to them IMO.

I like the idea of him coming back and I trust that the management team will give him a suitable role that he can benifit the club with. John Gorman has been on TV a couple of times today due to a match coming up (I keep catching the end of it so not quite got the story) talking about not seeing eye to eye with pearson but still respects him or somit. I guess with the set up as it is now JD will only be coming back into the club if it fits with how the club is working now. Brining people inand out all over the place like last season should be a thing of the past and our future seems to be allot more together.

Sky sports have a story saying he is suprised to be charged and will be pleading not guilty. My 1st opinion is that the guy being done for stabbing has suggested it was done out of revenge. But if someone hit/pushed or something to my wife id have a go at giving them a kicking but I wouldnt go as far as belting there mum and stabbing them in both legs. Sounds like its a BS accusation and the police have to follow the book to cover there ass'. Wouldnt be suprised to see the charges dropped after an investigation. But then this whole thing is weird so prolly wouldnt be suprised if davenport takes the blame for everything including stabbing himself in the legs lol

I liked the hands up one and think that should be saved for our sext derby with Poopy. Very fitting. lol

Thinking back I cant remember there being anyone that didnt think Pearson deserved a chance based on keeping us up. Id say that most of us thought he could do alright with the right support and a proper pre-season. I dont think he did anything spectacular while with us but showed that he had enough about him to do well if given the chance. Fair play to him for proving us right but there is no need to try and open up the old divide as thats in the past and it seems its only the few Anti-Lowes that have not moved on.

Very satisfying - insights from Thursday's training
saintjay77 replied to zigsdad's topic in The Saints
I think it might show how we got found out so easily last season. We trained to play 1 way and as soon as the other teams knew that they created a plan to subdue and beat us. Had we practiced fast passing counter attacking football as a baseline but then also worked on how to beat specific teams then we might have done better. Pards seems to want a basic way of play to be instilled through out the team but really goes to town on the oppo's strengths and weekness' to make sure we have the best chance of coming out on top. Maybe the Dutch duo thought that the dutch way was the best way to beat any team and under estimated other managers being tactical enough to come up with a solution? It been a few years since the dutch way topped the tables although allot of successful teams do resemble some of the dutch methods. -
Decent report concentrating on what they could have done better rather than what the other team got away with or what the officials did or didnt do. There is a difference between moaning without providing a solution and constructive critacism (cant spell for s*it) and fair play to that guy. Sounds like if they had played there usual game plan they might have given us a better test but that guy just judged on what he saw and move on.

seems like the best place to get updates today is via the saints player text comentary. No idea how up to date it is but last entry was on 112 mins and mentions Darren Powell. Is that the same Darren Powell that was with us?

If this was facebook I would click the Like button to this post.

Really sad news and the thoughts of all saints fans/friends will be with Ron. Sounds like she was hell of a woman and will be truely missed. RIP Chris. x

I think there is a difference between the yobs you and I are thinking about and the people who stick up for themselves Stu is trying to suggest are involved. I dont go looking for fights and never have. I can do enough to get myself out of trouble should it appear but would rather get out of the way than get involved. If I get started on at a footy match or anywhere else and manage to drop someone then I think the Police should treat that accordingly and I should get no more than a slap on the wrist and leave it at that. If on the other hand I go out looking for a scrap and regularly find one then the Police should treat me as a yob that should be directed away from areas that normal law obiding people and familys like to attend. The 1st example I would expect most saints fans to not grass me up as I myself would be happy to go to the Police to state what happened. The 2nd example I think any real fan would want to disassociate there club, friends and familys from so should point them out to the Police and let them be delt with in the right way. As someone else has said. I wouldnt want to be on the end of a revenge attack just because I am walking through Yoville or anywhere else in my saints shirt.

I remember him going on a pretty good run down the left before cutting in and curling one in the top corner. I thought we had the next (insert ferkin good left winger who scores wonder goals allot here) and were going to go on to win everything! lol

I use IE. It does the job I need it too and im not one of those people who will use anything but Microsoft just because.

Ive kinda got used to the new site layout now. I know where I need to go to find out the bits I want and it just about covers that. Would be nice if reserve news appeared on the Latest news page along with 1st team news though. old site had the main info appear (at some point) on the news page so I guess the Latest news page should do the same. If you dont know to go check the reserve pages you would have no idea they played or how they did. SaintsTV player has a fairly up to date comentary on match days that is still free and it updates much more than the old match day comentary on the old main site. Even get more updates on there now than we do on here. So IMO, where it has got better it has got much better but other area's still need some improvment. I like the idea of the Site team and all it involves being an in-house department allot better than the benifit we seem to get out of it that way.

free 14 day trial at the mo. i used to be signed up till they started charging. Gets on my t1ts that I cant listen in to BBC Radio Solent cause I live out of the broadcast area. Solent comentary aint even that great at the best of times so should be a free service to all IMO. Its not as if the saints player broadcasts that comentary so it shouldnt effect theirs. rant over lol

Southend fans' views (from their forum)
saintjay77 replied to ExSt Peter Saint's topic in The Saints
I think they are a bit more used to this league and the standard of refere's so just concentrate on what could have happened had they put away there chances and not made mistakes. They seem a bit more one sided by not noticing they should have been at least 1 player down but the ramblings of those few on an internet message board cant always be taken as the thoughts of all fans. -
to be fair the other team proly said that about our 1st goal. I think the refs are just a bit pants in this league. No use waiting for things to level themselves out. just deal with each game and get on with it. the league wont do anything about it so the sooner we do enough to get out of the league the better.

I want to know where all the ITK's have been for the last 3 weeks? On paper we must have the strongest team in this leage and one that would also compete pretty well in the CCC I think. Given a bit of time to gel and settle in we must surly expect to see a challenge for promotion. At least we can see what the intention is nice and clearly now. Teams of the past few years have looked like the intention has been to improve but played like the intention is to bail out. Its nice to see the whole club turning the screw to actually achieve something.

Do you realise you have typed 30 words and 23 full stops?

While I share some of the views in that he is a waste with us I go with what WS says. Good luck to the lad and I hope he does well. It might be the kick up the arse he needs to push onto a higher level or it might be that he finds his level and makes a career for himself.
