Especially as it would be the second time in 18 months.

Gordon being valued at £45m + and Broja being valued at circa £30m baffles me.
-
Agreed. Think one clear issue is that we are, once again, very ligth at full back - which I think is one of the main reasons he was playing a back 5 so he could get away with Djenepo on the left. We need another full back (right or left) by the end of the window and put confidence in a back four of Perraud, BK, Salisu and KWP.

He's a leader too, which is what we need.

Universities "blacklisting" books to protect students.......

This isn't about "woke-ism" which is the rebellion against injustice/rage against the machine etc. This is "the great sanitised youth" which is young people today being cradled as a result of their parents generation being too anxious about everything. They're not the same thing, it baffles me that people are unable to differentiate. -

You genuinely think "wokeists" don't believe people should read about slavery? -
We had 2 shots on target on Saturday, face shots would increase those stats.

Maybe Gen Z are too sensitive for slavery, but that definitely is nothing to do with "being woke". By definition "woke-ness" is about highlighting historical injustices. I think people just lazily assume anything against the norm is woke nowadays rather than thinking. -
Labour could find themselves in a very interesting position in 6 months time. Truss is dreadful, objectively, and Labour should be able to beat her. The challenge they have is that Starmer is not charismatic enough to blow her out of the water and if the tories polling recovers they may decide to get rid. Just depends who they have lined up.

Santising reading lists to prevent people reading about past attrocities is literally a right wing tactic and literally the opposite of woke. Do people just read stuff and go "must be woke"? -
It might be possible with very good players, we don't have very good players. It's a high end style being played by a low end team.
-
Thought I'd check and he was clearly our most productive attacker last year per 90: Not saying he's a superstar but he the best player in the squad at making goals happen - this is madness unless we have someone very good lined up. For the record he had 0.47 G+A per 90 the previous season (and somewhat surprisingly 0.49 the season before).
-
I've always found it bizarre. Since the wonder goal against Man City, Che has been consistantly good but Ralph often drops him. I'm sure there was a point last season that Che scored 3 games in a row and then Ralph benched him. Must be something Ralph doesn't like.

the new manager might be able to bring in someone they know

I generally agree. I think making any sort of comparison (attendances, goal scoring records) just opens it up to ridicule and almost suggests that women's football is a sideshow to the mens. Women's football is now a fantastic product in its own right and should be trying to set itself up clearly independant from the men's game as much as possible IMO.

If there's any truth in it, the club really seem to rate Che less than the fans. He's been a really reliable striker for 2 1/2 seasons, should be a good £20 million surely.
-
Was he playing at LB/LWB when he came on? In his defense I just dont think he suits being a 10 in a 4-2-2-2 (who does?).
-
It's a great kit. Interesting but thought through. Considering the festering turds our club have churned out for most of the last decade I'm surprised people are so quick to condemn it.
-
I do wonder if we are looking at a change of formation. Our attacking options make the 4-2-2-2 a really odd choice as we don't have much quality in the front 4. A 4-3-3 or even 3-5-2/3-4-3 would make a lot more sense given our strengths are central midfield and full back.

This would be incredible!

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

Exactly. People can be as pedandic as they want, but when people vote they do vote for a PM and a government. -
From the reaction of the Chelsea fans would be a cracking signing. Not sure what our first choice CB pairing would be in that case, he wont sign to be on the bench.
-
Why is it ridiculous? 😆 It's literally just a technically correct stat.

This is why a change in PM should trigger an election as they're just coming up with stupid right wing policies to appeal to the Tory members with no regard for the actual population.
