  1. You can piss off to the 'small things in life that bring you joy' thread. No such room for positivity here.
  2. I think this is one of the rare cases in English grammar where the writer can choose between two correct punctuations that mean the same thing. If writing professionally, I would expect it to be part of the style guide for the organisation. Is anyone from the SWF moderation team able to confirm what approach we should be using?
  3. I wish we were more like Huddersfield and Stoke.
  4. If there were smaller goals, I fear last night's penalty shootout would still be waiting for its first goal.
  5. England win 3-2 after 400 penalties taken each.
  6. Lols at the Sweden keeper.
  7. 7 pens taken. Still 1-1 in the shootout. Unbelievable goalkeeping.
  8. Agreed. Vividly remember defeating Psycho Mantis on Metal Gear Solid with a coloured dual shock controller. Life was better back then.
  9. Besiktas apparently pulled out of the transfer. Presumably a PL club has shown some interest.
  10. Strawberries. They're bloody delicious at this time of year.
  11. She can award me a corner kick for something that is clearly a goal kick.
  12. Wishing Queen Camilla a very happy 78th birthday. Long may she reign over us. Lovely new photo of her released today to mark the occasion. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdezjjkzy52o
  13. Complete oversight to leave a pic of MLT on the wall too. Someone should be sacked. 🥲 For what it's worth, I like stripey kits. Including this one.
  14. Just switched it on at the end of half time. Has anyone said something like Cole*-Play yet? That'd be a good play on words. * Palmer, get it?
  15. Are Saints likely to get some kind of financial bonus if Lavia becomes a world champion with Chelsea tonight?
  16. Even the fixture list is getting in on it. They're playing Stevenage first game of the season.
  17. I don't really get why people find things like this so funny. Yes, warning systems have improved in recent years/decades as there wasn't previously the mechanism/awareness to provide such warnings. Things have changed. But if you look what an amber health warning actually means, it's that the NHS might be affected and there may be travel disruption etc. For anyone that's ever worked in the NHS or had to travel during hot weather, I doubt that's wildly surprising. If by issuing a warning prompts a few people to take sensible precautions such as staying out of the midday sun, wearing suncream, keeping hydrated, looking after elderly neighbours/relatives or making sensible travel plans, I don't really see what the issue is. I can guarantee there'll be an increase in morons complaining they've got entirely avoidable heatstroke over the weekend or other vulnerable people struggling. Despite what people on football forums might laugh about, the climate is getting warmer (yeah, yeah it was hot in '76, I know) so gearing up for adapting to it can only be a good thing. How the hell did I ever cope in the olden days?
  18. Forgot to add the Friends Provident logo.
  19. What an assist from Stripey McStripe Shirt!
  20. Captain Jack. Here til 2028. Whatever your feelings about the guy, I don't doubt he loves the club and will be an asset in the Championship.
  21. This is nice. Is it the first time team mates have been engaged/married in English football? Probably not...
