...Speaking probably for myself, but I genuinely cheered him out of enthusiasm, was quite pleased to see him!

Yep, for Rickie's first with a cross I believe. He worked himself into the ground that day along with everyone else.
-
He has been a good squad option at Premier League level when games have needed to be closed down. After his work to get us here I cannot understand why he is on the end of so much disdain. He has made errors but equally he has produced some wonderful and crucial goals, a genuine bargain.
-
Good luck to Chung. That goal against Derby and his lay-off for Rickie's goal v Leeds are obvious highlights, shame his injury ensured that by the time he was fit again we had risen above his ability level.

Let's be a little kind at least, call the girl Mattie (Mathilda!)
-
A professional 0-2 away win for me. Our first choice back five is now available and the midfield three should be good enough to shield them against a team who have a dreadful home record.
-
Nothing a bag of toys can't help with i'm sure. Hope he has a good time. (Assuming he's up for going!)

I used to sit in the family enclosure until last summer (when they kicked out any families who no-longer had a young child in tow.) It's a more then suitable place for the youngsters, there are regularly children about 4 years of age in that section and although it is busy the atmosphere is friendly yet nicely partisan. For the Yeovil cup game though it will be quiet, no more the 16k I would say so you will be able to get tickets there easily and see how he copes.

Have Your Say: Pochettino's first year at Saints
Colinjb replied to Solid Saint's topic in The Saints
I've also gone for very good. He has shown some weaknesses, specifically his tactics in the Chelsea games this year spring to mind when he effectively gave them the central midfield after some bizarre substitutions but our overall form, style of play and determination in getting us back into form after our recent stutter have been impressive. Certainly I would have bitten your hand off this time last year if it could have been suggested we would be in this position now. He has done very, very well. -
I totally agree with the sentiments about prioritising the cup, yet equally, we are not going to have that busy a fixture list as the season closes out so there is no reason why we cannot give all remaining games a damn good go. It is a bit odd as a fan seeing the season fizzle out to a certain extent by January, it's the first time in a decade (League 1 -10 season notwithstanding) that we havn't got a key aim in sight in the league. It's never usually dull being a fan of this club!

The will never pass. She was such a divisive woman.

Only so much space. It could so easily become a mosaic, and still a subjective one at that.

I only remember that happening after his rant.... then it was evident sarcasm and Kelvin seemed to realise how ridiculous it all was. There was a moment as he finished his rant when you could see his head drop, he knew he'd let himself down. The 'Pompey fan on a string' song seemed to be on loop that day too.... seriously, who came up with that sh*te!?
-
How could I!? One of the heroes of Hillsborough!! Oh and Pearce, was trying to remember him..... Wasn't he the guy that went into Non-league and strung things out for a few years? (Ok, ok, general description I know....)
-
Was convinced Burley was about to be sacked after that game. The one where Kelvin ranted at the away end after they (I was there but didn't have a go, truly) had a go at him. Phil Ifil too, saw him against a Saints youth eleven at Kettering back in the summer of 2011. He sank quickly, even quicker then Wright.
-
God, Chris Lucketti. He did well, prefered him to Perry. Naturally we kept Perry! haha. He did a job, sweated it out during the relegation season then helped us build in League 1.
-
We seemed to go through so many randoms around that time. Easy to get lost.

At what point are the club going to invest in Dyson airblades?
Colinjb replied to Tom8558's topic in The Saints
Good work lad, have a sugar cube! Really, thankyou for actually making me laugh in this dismal place. -
Was sure he was with us until the end of that last day survival season, seemed to be always injured by that point mind. Edit: Checked the mighty wiki: Yep, retired in April 08 due to a hip injury.
-
Was Makin with us by that point?
-
Still only 38. He really went down the pyramid after leaving us. A couple of appearances at Blackpool before ending up at Lewes I believe. To think that Moyes wanted him at Everton in the year they finished 4th.
-
At what game was this, the Sheffield United match at the end of 07/08? A response of 'really' though.... Always struck me as a modest pro, probably why he was shunted all over the pitch depending on Burley's mood, he knew he wouldn't kick up a stink.

Strange that someone with so many posts on a forum would be so reticent to express their own viewpoint.

It would appear that way yes.
