  1. I completely agree. I just get narked when I hear Lowe and his various apologists dishing out all the blame for our current state on the people who were in charge for the two seasons after his departure, when the reality is that:- a) his negligent choice of managers led to both of our relegations b) the Rasiak deal was a big part of the reason for the overspending on fees and wages over those two seasons after he departed.
  2. I've picked you up on this point before, and I don't remember you replying last time. Lowe agreed the deal to sign Rasiak on a wage which was the catalyst for the wage structure at the club being significantly raised, with the subsequent signings of Davis, Skacel, Viafara, Wright-Phillips etc. It is completely absurd to exempt Lowe from blame for the financial mess we are in.
  3. Chris Marsden? Hadn't thought of him. Sounds a plan.
  4. Barry Ferguson.
  5. You could find there may be a fun away day in Round 1 or Round 2 of the FA Cup next season.
  6. Isn't he some sort of lowlife football agent now? The turd must be loaded.
  7. To be fair, in having to work for Mandaric, Pearson is having to deal with just as demented and interfering a chairman as Lowe. Pearson's a very good manager, simple as that. Lowe's childish dismissal of him is indisputably the main reason why we are where we are now.
  8. Paul Tisdale seems a good guy, but I'm not sure about having a manager who's quite well-spoken and wears cravates. Doesn't seem right somehow.
  9. Best shout of all. "And you, you ****, I'll ****ing have you, I'll take you all on, you ****s......."
  10. Had a season ticket for 15 years until Lowe returned last summer. I've seen a lot of utter sh1te in that time. Not that I feel I need to justify myself.
  11. There's something about Boothroyd I can't quite put my finger on, but I suspect he is a little unhinged.
  12. Rattlehead's a genuine fan. He's travelled the length of the country supporting Saints, but he was sensible enough to do it in a period when most of the players gave a **** about playing for Saints and you could identify with them. Like me, he sees little point in spending a small fortune watching a poorly managed spineless shower of sh1te.
  13. If memory serves, Merrington was only allowed to sign Venison during the season. I like him, he comes across as a bit of a doddery Grandad at times on Solent (I could never forget his hopeless attempts to pronounce Kosowski's name), but he knows his stuff. He has said many a time this season we wasted money on a reserve keeper when we could have gone in for Sam Vokes.
  14. Lowe agreed the deal to sign Rasiak on a salary of £10,000 a week plus, which set the bar for other obscene salaries for the likes of Davis, Skacel, Wright-Phillips etc.
  15. Voice of reason.
  16. Difficult to disagree with this. Burley left the team in a shambolic state. Unfit and hugely overpaid. Lowe is just unhinged.
  17. I haven't been all season and haven't missed it at all. It's probably been less of a sacrifice given how poor the team are and the shambles of a board running the club being completely undeserving of any support. Depends on your circumstances, I guess, but being married with two kids, I've found plenty of other stuff to occupy my time. I still listen to most of the games on the radio (have to admit the coverage on Solent is superb) and retain a keen interest but doing this only takes up two hours on a Saturday, whereas the travelling from Poole, plus pre and post match beers meant that a home game used to take up pretty much all day for me. If I was single I'd probably still be going, to be honest.
  18. Comedy. Enjoy Metallica tonight, by the way.
  19. A bit of empathy and humility would have made a lot of people a lot more sympathetic towards him. He's just made things a lot worse though, and the fans should not take the flak for the fact that he is out of his depth. He should not be given any more time to further prove this.
  20. If Wotte had any kind of credible record in football, then he might get a bit more leeway to start being critical of the fans. Strachan did it once or twice, but we was able to get away with it because he was so good for us and we could see how committed he had got the team. Wotte is just a joke, and should be ashamed of himself. Try actually winning a game before giving it the attitude, you turd.
  21. Mick Dennis is, and always has been, an utter utter ****.
  22. Fair play, from somebody who hasn't been all season. I am however convinced that Lowe looks on any seat in the ground filled as a believer in his grand vision. I completely refuse to give him any support. If he had at least given Pearson a chance it would have shown some humility, but the man is totally unhinged. He is the David Icke of football.
  23. Nigel Pearson. Oh damn, Mandaric's got the better of Lowe yet again.
  24. I can completely understand why you might refer to a stayaway like me as a plastic, but I think the stayaways will ultimately have a lot more influence in removing Lowe than a pitch invasion (which I beleive is what he wants to happen so that he can slag off the vocal minority etc.) My possibly erratic memory of that astonishing season in 93/94 is that it wasn't the admirable efforts of Chorley, MacMillan and Foley to arrange a public show of anger in the East Stand after the amazing Newcastle game that ultimately did for Branfoot. It was the crowd of 9,000 against Ipswich a month or two later that sealed it, but then maybe that's because at the time a significant proportion of the board were accountants. I take my hat off to those who continue to go to games. Lowe's mind is so warped that he'll probably think you're supporting him personally rather than the team though.
