  1. An average keeper who seems to be highly driven by confidence, playing for the best team by a distance in a pub league. I'd rip your hand off for £5-10M and his wages off the books. I'd say he's probably no better than either McCarthy or Gunn even on his day...
  2. Yeah - we made a terrible decision to walk to seven sisters.
  3. Yup - agree. Also why do they make the away fans walk so far round the houses from the home end to the next corner? And bloody hell, Seven Sisters is a trek from the ground, found that out the hard way after the game...!
  4. Yup - he always seems to score against us.
  5. Might not mean with Saints though...
  6. Remember saying something similar when we went to Liverpool...and won 1-0...
  7. They've probably cut staff, which is why they've had to take smaller allocations so they can deal with them. Probably got a load of temps in to do this...cost cutting.
  8. Yup and massive win for Bournemouth at the weekend. They still have got to play the following...their home games will be huge for them. Sheff Utd (A) Burnley (A) Chelsea (H) Liverpool (A) Palace (H) Wolves (A) Newcastle (H) Man Utd (A) Spurs (H) Leicester (H) City (A) Saints (H) Everton (A)
  9. Got caught out going to spurs (Wembley) last year with this straight form work. Its a joke, and you only find out just as you're about to go into the stadium. Only take a bag if you absolutely have to.
  10. Can't see it. Don't think he is good enough to play for Spurs regularly anyway, but also no time for us to get a replacement in, especially with Armstrong currently injured. We shall see...
  11. Whats going on with the top tier? Is that home fans confirmed, or is that the rest of our allocation not yet on sale, i.e. blocks. 515-519?
  12. Look like an absolute nightmare as currently is? 4 and a quarter hours each way and £60 return from Basingstoke, and 5 hours each way from Southampton, best part of £90 return. Crazy.
  13. Maehle apparently which might explain Walker Peters going through with us. Maybe he rejected us to go there.
  14. Don't think this is the point to be honest. We'll be getting a fee for a player who is 28 and out of contract in the summer, for more than what we spent on him. And lets be honest, he's not great and one of our highest earners. If we can get through the rest of this season with KWP, Bertrand, Vokins and Valery as full backs, with the possibility of Danso/JWP if desparate, I don't think it would be terrible business, and then sets us up to either bring in KWP if he does well, or go hunting for an improvement in the summer. We shall see....I see why they're considering it though.
  15. I'll be going, whats another 15 quid. Is a joke though.
  16. If we could get £10m for him, I think I'd take it. €8m seems a bit of an insult.
  17. Atleast it seems to be a "try before you buy" situation. We have 5/6 months to see if he'd be a good enough replacement for Cedric, if he isn't I'm sure he'll be sent back and we'll look at alternatives. Worth a punt, if just for a bit of cover. You'd expect we have an option to buy if we want him.
  18. Agreed - very irritating, and this was why I initially missed out on Palace.
  19. Were heavily linked in the summer IIRC. Good player.
  20. I'd love him to sign a new contract, but clearly at the moment, he's assessing his options.
  21. Thought he was excellent last night, did exactly what we needed him to do
  22. Without being quite as blunt, I think thats a fair shout. I think Yoshida can easily come in and do a good job, but he normally starts slow when he comes into the side. Big performance needed all over the pitch to get a result. Is going to be a niggly game, but hopefully we can get them on the break.
  23. There are a couple that are dedicated away pubs, "Prince George" and "The Railway Telegraph". I'm actually meeting a mate in Balham, as it's easy enough to nip over from there on the overground. COYS
  24. There is no chance that Bournemouth are run sustainably, they've spent a sh1t tonne of money vs their revenue over the last few years. It's no surprise we're are always at the bottom of the expenditure tables. I'm not saying that we should go and splash the cash and go ridiculous, but we're the only club who has to sell to buy, whether thats right or not, is another question, but it's no surprise we're fighting for premier league status every year.
  25. I think we probably have the worst owner in the Premier League at the moment.
