Would probably put Bertrand and Forster in ahead of Boruc and Shaw, but point taken. We have had some very good players though and on top of that quite a lot of players.

TBF - I watched it on a stream and didn't think we played badly, thought we deserved more from the game. Was a bit surprised at the meltdown on here when I read some of the comments. Problem is, our fans are all too used to playing ok, dominating the game, and then not winning. Under Koeman, we would have probably won that 1-0 away, dominated the game and been pretty comfortable. It's just not going for us at the moment.

Tadic, Redmond, Boufal arguably this system is made for them. JWP - only because he doesn’t really have a “position”. Gabbiadini - not really sure what his position is either, he’s not a striker, but he’s not a wide man - he’s never been prolific in his career and always played as a supporting striker. Austin - isn’t suited to premier league football because he isn’t very good. For me it’s more about quality than system. The back 7 is arguably up there with the best in the league. We have no strikers who have scored many and the supporting “3” are just not firing at all at the moment. Not sure what the answer is, would like to see the below against Newcastle... Not sure that is strictly true tbh. Only issue is that we lack quality in the 3 behind the striker, and we have strikers who just don't score that many.

We certainly should be given our fixtures...! Should arguably be top 4. Add 5 points from Swansea and Watford home games....

We certainly seem to have problems recruiting in the attacking midfield area. Tadic and Mane have been the only "success" since we have got back in the premier league I believe. Boufal has got massive talent but if you cant get him in the team he's wasted. Was there any official note as to why he wasnt in the squad Saturday?
