'Air India' was never really a problem as it was their international airline and had to conform to strict regulations, but 'Indian Airlines' was their domestic carrier and could scare the sh#t out of even the most seasoned traveller ! I think that they once lost two planes in the one day IIRC !!

Approx 30 years ago I was aboard the Chinese national carrier (CAAC) sitting up front when one of the two pilots came out and went to the loo, while he was still in there the other one also came out and did a bit of shadow boxing ! I could see straight into the cockpit and there was no fecker actually flying the plane ! For sure they had it on autopilot but in those days an ancient trident was risky enough with someone at the controls let alone without ! I considered making a complaint when we landed in Shanghai but reckoned that they might stick me in jail so I thought better of it and let it be ! TBF they were better than Indian Airlines at the time but I'm happy to still be here to tell the tale !!

Me too, it's a real bummer as I have to maintain the lot and it is about half an acre in total ! My place was on its own originally (almost 100 years ago) and over time others were built around it and clearly at the time it was deemed desirable to own the boundary, unfortunately I have inherited responsibility for it all ! TBF I was aware of it when I bought the house so can't complain about it now !

As I see it the biggest problem regarding the FFP will be monitoring and enforcement ! We have already seen inflated sponsorship incomes by owners (£400 mil naming rights for the Etihad stadium !) and I'm sure that owners are clever enough to manipulate the situation to their advantage when it suits ! I don't know how big the compliance dept in EUFA will be but they will have one helluva job on their hands just to keep track of basic (averaged) submissions spread over a three year period ! Also, given the differential of incomes between the likes of Man Utd and Wigan (for example) it's difficult to see beyond the 'rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer' !

I also sit in the Kingsland and it really ****es me off when I look straight across the pitch, it seemed to disappear when Eterna were announced as sponsors so I guess that the original one was made by a competitor but I can't understand why they don't just get a big clock made and stick their name on it ? It's the little things that mean so much, you know !!

This season my forecast was 17th, next season top half, the following season push for a European place ! Continue to improve the academy and infrastructure etc.. Revert to red/white stripes and black shorts ! Replace the crappy club website ! Replace the clock above the dugouts ! Maintain ticket prices as now ! These would be my 'aims' as requested by the OP, sadly my expectations may fall short in one or two areas !!

TBF, if he was two hours late in starting a concert which people have paid good money for (and he has previous!) then the frustration is perhaps understandable ! I'd love to go back to stripes for next season but even if it turns out to be (very thin) pinstripes I can live with it as long as we have black shorts and some white trimming elsewhere on the kit ! This year we have been Liverpool in disguise and it does not sit comfortably with me !! Loved the sash, love traditional stripes, hate all red kits - please Nic, take note !!!

True respect (for me, at least) is a minute's silence and I would hope that we will have this for a great servant and a genuine bloke ! Personally I consider applause to be a bit of a 'cop out' just in case some plebs fail to observe it ! In any case, I really do hope that the club will mark the occasion accordingly !

I consider UKIP to be the personal fiefdom of Nigel Farage (nobody else seems to matter, or even exist !) so I didn't vote for them ! Still see them as a protest vote which in principle I don't do ! Be interesting though to see how they get on when the results are announced !

The first definition of support is to turn up and pay your money to get into the stadium ! Based on recent crowds of almost 32,000 (very close to capacity) I think that we are doing pretty well ! If you are concerned about noise level as the only criterion for 'support' then maybe you should follow the 'Fratton model' - now that is a very successful concept, I must say !!

It does make me laugh when they say that £1.1 mil will be tight ! Your budget depends on your income/outgoings calculation, not on what you reckon other teams may be paying ! Living within your means depends on internal bookeeping, not on comparing with your competitors or pandering to the fans, the sooner they start to understand this concept, the sooner they will start living in the real world ! One or two bad results next season and there will be a clamour for new signings etc.. I'm afraid all clubs have idiots who ignore the bigger picture and demand instant fixes (we are actually no different in that respect!) and this will be when it becomes dangerous again for them !

Nasty incident although it was always going to be overblown because of the high profile of the perpetrator ! Considering the precedent with Defoe, I consider the penalty to be disproportionately severe ! However, in order to avoid a repeat I would have given a 5 match ban but with 10 matches suspended ! I don't imagine that he will do it again but if he did he would know in advance that he is fckucked !

Just watched the Dortmund v Real Madrid match and Jeff Stelling referred to them as a community club ! The stadium was full, the atmosphere was electric and there is no possible way that those scrotes down the road will ever get close to this level, ever..... Bestest, my arse !!
