I think this is a huge, huge game in our season. Pelligrino needs to show he is adaptable. I have a real worry that he will revert to one striker by dropping Long and bringing Davis back in. Still think 3-5-2 is the way to go with the players we have at our disposal - f*ck the Wolves game, I don't care, one cup game isn't going to convince me that a certain formation is never going to work ever. It worked brilliantly for us under Koeman when Pelle was injured and we played Long/Mane up top. I wouldn't mind seeing McCarthy given a chance either, if nothing else Forster needs some time out of the spotlight as he is under serious pressure every single game now with such high profile mistakes constantly being made.

Those teams may well be slightly off form. But we are monumentally off form. It's not like we're at the top of our game facing those teams - our last season under Koeman for example, I would be confident of getting something out of all of those games with the exception of the two Manchester ones (and even something from United).

I believe if he stays here till he's 33 he'll have been here 10 years which is a real possibility, signed in summer of 2012 so over halfway there. The guy was always decent at CB and poor at fullback - no idea why managers thought he made a good fullback, none of our other centrebacks were made to play there. Last season and this though he's gotten even better. Guess that's what years of serving as understudy to Alderweireld, Van Dijk and Fonte whilst learning from managers who made great defenders will do to you.

10th consecutive home league game sold out

Yep, same. Travelling from Weymouth with sunday service trains with a hangover to watch the sh*t we've been served just led to a big no thank you from me. And before anyone wants to give me stick about being a "true fan", I travelled the same journey on my own for every game of the season we got relegated from the Championship. At least the players were trying back then, even if they were sh*t. Now they have the talent and couldn't care less. -
Trouble is buddy his style of football just isn't compatible with what the fans want and what the board claim to want.

It'd be interesting to see if the management can be proactive (as Cortese was) rather than reactive as they have been. I said yesterday that I'd take Adkins back in a heartbeat and I meant it but I know that won't happen, so instead we should take a look at managers in the Championship who are playing attacking football.

We will regret not making the most of this "easy" start once we are into the new year. Our fixtures from mid november onwards are as follows; Liverpool A Everton H City A Bournemouth A Arsenal H Leicester H Chelsea A Huddersfield H Spurs A United A You could see us quite easily losing all of those with the exception of Huddersfield at home. We need to buck our ideas up quick.

Watch him revert back to one up top next game by dropping Long and bringing Davis back in, and still playing Redmond.
-
I think Heaton will go instead of Pickford, Pickford seems to be letting the pressure of a big money move get to him a bit.
-
Redknapp and Pardew saying that Forster has been great for us for many years and is only recently having a bad spell. The f*ck guys?
-
I wouldn't be too fussed if they got rid now. Big game coming up - no excuse for picking Redmond over Boufal after todays performances from the two of them.
-
P*ssed off with the ref, p*ssed off with Newcastle for not giving the ball back, p*ssed off with the lack of effort for the majority of the game. Same line up next game but Boufal in for Redmond please.
-
****ING ****S NOT GIVING THE BALL BACK THERE, ****ING CHEATING ******S
-
Boufal HAS to start instead of Redmond next game.
-
Not sure that was a penalty, but oh well. Well done Gabbi.
-
People who say Boufal doesn't track back are full of sh*t.
-
He just brought Boufal on who has looked a lot better already, to be fair.
-
Again our players are too nice or just not bothered enough - most teams would be screaming at the ref in that situation.
-
Great quote on that Newcastle fans scarf there. "In the end, what matters is winning".
-
Blow the full time whistle, I actually don't care anymore.
-
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA **** off Forster, **** off. **** off you ****.
-
Thank f*ck for that.
-
Van Dijk giving the ball again away at full back again.
-
Everyone keeps mentioning him, but wasn't it reported that we approached him first and he turned us down?
-
Said in the summer that i'd like to give him to january to see what he does with the squad, but I understood why he was sacked. Honestly, i'd take Nigel Adkins back in a heartbeat.
