  1. I mean that I would be more passionate about a club success than I would a country success.
  2. Don't be so blinkered.
  3. The sh*te thing is that after the success Saints have had these past 2 years, we're not used to the disappointment England have just provided. Absolutely gutted. And to answer the threads overall point - club before country, every time. Doesn't mean the success of the club tempers the failure of the country, though.
  4. I thought you meant Motson.
  5. Maybe not, but the manager isn't the only thing to consider. We're a Premier League team with top class facilities.
  6. No different to anyone else, I bet they get a lot more of it from the fans of the top teams.
  7. He's right. Beattie has never struck me as professional in all honesty. What he did there was disgraceful.
  8. Don't think we have many more, unless they've opened up in the last year or two. Didn't Dyer and Bale come through the Bath or Bristol one?
  9. Remember him looking very good in pre-season last year, holding up the ball and linking well. Should do well after a season or so of regular playing.
  10. Absolutely. If "nothing beats playing" (his words) then he should have no qualms about taking a pay cut. I have nothing against the guy, but the club have done nothing wrong here.
  11. How do you know? Have you asked them how they feel?
  12. What's the biggie? Surely it hasn't ruined the following 14 months for you?
  13. Who are they? Totally forgotten.
  14. That's how I read it too. I need sleep...
  15. Crouch definitely played, I remember him putting a ball through for Michael Owen to score. Weren't we due to play Trinidad and Tobago as well but pulled out, causing Jack Warner (allegedly) to sabotage our bid for the World Cup/Euros?
  16. Peter Crouch, 2005 friendly against the USA I think. Current internationals - Lee was left out of the last Japan squad wasn't he? Or was that just down to injury? No-one else.
  17. Apart from the fact Rooney is picked as soon as he is available, despite both strikers performing well and scoring in the last game?
  18. Also, we have no idea what context this is in. To me that tweet reads more as he's been told he's transfer listed - "stuck still watching Premiership football" as opposed to having a chance to play.
  19. Whether this is true or not, there's nothing to stop him accepting a lower wage at another club.
  20. Not near the front of the Northam it bloody isn't.
  21. Or you could argue that the best time to play the harder fixtures is whilst riding the wave of optimism and success. How often do we see teams newly promoted do really well, only to fall down the league once they run out of steam? The likes of Hull, Blackpool and Reading spring to mind off the top of my head. Better to play the harder fixtures whilst it's all in our favour, and the "easier" ones when we've calmed down a bit. Personally I expect Saints to remain consistent throughout the season, as we have done non-stop under Adkins reign. Totally professional.
  22. The one above the Chapel has needed replacing for years, there's a massive block that seems to alternate between staying blank and being bright green.
  23. Are they? Last season I remember them looking incredible. Didn't they get a 6-0 win and then that 8-2 V Arsenal in the first couple of months?
  24. Not bitter in the slightest, I'm just enjoying the reversal.
  25. Karma. They had their turn laughing at us when we were playing Bournemouth etc.
