Could be something innocent like Strachan wanting watch some football tonight and Middlesborough is only 10 miles away from Hartlepool where Southampton one of his old sides were playing.

Go to the Saints Official Site and have a look. I'm always shocked why people ask questions like this when they can easily and quickly find it out themselves.

Why can't you use this? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/8362921.stm

South World Cup bid 2018 Portsmouth City turn it down.
Matthew Le God replied to derry's topic in General Sports
The FA seem to want regional distribution. Possible it would be Bristol vs Plymouth for a South West bid so any potential Saints bid wouldn't be in competition with them. -
Who is this "Davies" you always speak of?
-
Quite easy in this modern high tech communication age for them to check that it isn't the case.

Chance of a signing before the loan window closes?

He will be now that Bergovic has gone back to Pompey. -

Not sure you meant that... 5th worst would mean he'd be one of the best -
Are you insane? This is a league game and you are putting out a very weakened side, dropping alot of key players. Saga in central midfield ffs says it all about what you know Who is this "Davies" and "Lloyd" on the bench?
-
You have answered your own question.
-
Well of course...there will be about 10k left

As Roy Keane said... The Irish weren't asking for a replay when they got a dodgy penalty against Georgia earlier in qualifying. Double standards from them.

2018 World Cup bid - Time for Saints to step in
Matthew Le God replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Brighton have less need for a 40k stadium than Pompey. Pompey have been getting gates of 17k in the Premiership, Saints 21k in the relegation zone in League One. OK Saints don't need a 40k stadium now, but we have a fanbase much more likely to fill 40k than Pompey. -
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update - 25th November Its official Portsmouth pull out of World Cup 2018 bid on the same day they sack the manager. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/h...re/8377606.stm 27th November Who'd have thought it...Portsmouth council supporting Southampton for a World Cup bid. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4764104.Potential_Southampton_cup_bid_backed_by_Portsmouth_leader/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nicole Cortesse said that we could only step in if Pompey pulled out as we missed the initial deadline. That time has come! Would be nice to hear from Saints what is happening (if anything).

Two non home nation teams in a World Cup play off. Who cares?
-
People seem to forget we had just beaten... Charlton 2-1 with 442 Bristol Rovers 3-2 with 442 MK Dons 3-1 with 442 (was losing 1-0 with 451 until changed to 442 and we got 3 goals) So Pardew WAS NOT changing a winning formula he was sticking to one.
-
Because the first ever game at the Dell was against Brighton.
-
He will only leave if he wants to go. At the moment he doesn't want to go as Pardew stated we had bids for him and he realises its better to play at Saints rather than go into a big teams reserves or go back on loan to the lower leagues. We don't need the cash and won't be forced by any shareholders or banks to sell so it is basically dependent on how quickly Saints progress as to whether Adam wants to stay or go.
-
No, he wasn't when the ball was played. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8356918.stm Roughly 1 minute 40 secs in.
-
Republic of Ireland just so you can remind people that they are a foreign team and not one of the home nations as alot of the media seem to think.
-
Why not? Someone that went with their Dad aged 5 in 1939 would be 75 now. There are Saints fans over the age of 75 you know
-
It wasn't offside ffs, Wayne Thomas was playing them on.
-
Colchester was 0-0 Yeovil was 2-0
-
Well the opening line of the thread doesn't make any sense
-
What makes this one tricky is we have no idea of who or how tactically Brighton will play but they will have a good idea for us.
